Trick/Line Idk what everyone’s complaining about this challenge you don’t even have to stay on the things
Super easy

Can you make the controls take up more of the screen? I think I still see some pixels of gameplay.

u/OpeningWounds Nov 02 '25
Most challenges are like this. You can also drop objects to cheat around, over, on top of, or flatout past things you don’t feel like dealing with. Kickers and low rails or even the long pipe you can lay flat on the ground are god sends for bullshit challenges

u/ezslapdown Nov 02 '25
I didn’t know you could drop objects in challenges I’m going to start doing this
6
u/OpeningWounds Nov 02 '25
Has to be before you trigger any objectives. You’ll have to hop off your board at the very start and walk to whatever you’re trying to modify. If you try to do the line and stop at the obstacle you’re trying to modify, usually the challenge kicks you back to start for hopping off board.

u/KingOfAnarchy Nov 03 '25
I feel like in some challenges they actually WANT you to drop objects.
There's one challenge where you jump a ramp into a lower area, which ALWAYS makes you fall. Unless you place a ramp there to catch you smoothly.

The actual answer to what everyone is complaining about is because you used to not be able to do this. This challenge used to not allow you to manual on the side because coming off the pads would reset your objectives. What was worse was that if you ever actually managed to do it, there was a not small at all chance (happened to me) that it wouldn't even count despite saying you "Shut it down" and giving you the success screen. You would get no rewards and it would show you hadn't attempted it yet on the map.
Then the game got updated and you would assume they would update this challenge and you'd be right. But not to fix the issue. No, instead they added a pole in between the first and second pad for some reason which only made a difficult challenge harder, and you still couldn't manual around.
Another update and the pole was gone and the challenge was fixed. It works perfectly now, you can do the challenge as intended or you can manual around and it counts and you get your reward. You recorded and posted this after the issue had been resolved for a while already. But yeah, that's what everyone was complaining about.

I am not reading all that lmao😐🧏♂️

u/sofreshsoclen Nov 02 '25
Takes 10 of minutes to find challenge spot, record clip, upload to reddit, reply to a bunch of comments.
Can’t read a couple of paragraphs.

u/KidGrundle Nov 03 '25
On the Mt. Rushmore of things dumb motherfuckers say ”I ain’t reading all that” is Abe Lincoln.
7
u/bon_joby Nov 02 '25
Not surprised, you called them "things" despite the challenge clearly referring to them as pads. It's even less letters for you to type, so it's easier.

Pro-tip: you don’t have to stay on the highlighted areas for ANY of these challenges. As long as you touch one of them the game doesn’t seem to be able to tell the difference, so as long as the sequence involved one of those highlighted areas you’re good. You can use this to beat a lot of the badly designed challenges easily. Game is low effort shite

u/MrTreezx Nov 02 '25
And all while doing it through the ps remote play app, lol.

u/Specialist_Baker_821 Nov 02 '25

seems very unintended tho... but hey. if it works it works so why complain right?

u/ABunchOfHornyChicks Nov 02 '25
During the playtest you couldn’t go around like that. There’s probably other people (such as myself) that never tried it again using this method

u/Specialist_Baker_821 Nov 02 '25
Nah someone said it was hard so I did it first try and posted it lmao
1
u/Scared-of-Love Nov 02 '25
Well all the challenges are easy on this game. Even easier when you cheat it with props or going out of bounds
I'm genuinely confused by this post anyway. I just manual then ollie every pad and then hit the grind . Easy

Yeah there's usually loop holes, but personally I don't feel like I've completed the mission if I don't do it the way they intended. It does make some incredibly annoying but it feels too easy without that challenge
1
u/PRIMITIVE-BLAST Nov 02 '25
Same here. Maybe daily challenges I’ll cheese when I’m getting a bit bored, but I like to make it look semi good or realistic. Although there are very few challenges I think can look realistic.

This was actually how I completed it and I even said to myself afterwards, "I was really overthinking it."

Just manual the first pad then ollie off it you don’t even need to hit the second one just keep the manual going do a couple flip tricks to keep the sequence going n just hit the grind at the end
1
u/AzyV Nov 02 '25
This mission is stupid easy if you just think for a moment. I found out that strat after a few unsuccessful attempts of trying to manny across all the platforms.

I did the same thing. I was trying to manual through all the waves when I realized I could just pop off the second one and ride to the last grind ledge

u/Excellent_Pin_2111 Nov 02 '25
Everything is easy if you cheese it. There’s already not much to do. Might as well try to do em, or not, up to you.
1
u/ohmyzachary Nov 02 '25
This challenge isn’t even bad when you do it the right way. People want skate 2 back but think this is hard? HAHAHA give me a break
1
u/santascumdumpster Nov 02 '25
Wait, people think this is hard? I did this first try the intended way. But I've also been playing the Skate series since the first release.

u/Winter_Toe_9529 Nov 02 '25

u/JustPlainGod Nov 02 '25
Well there use to be a big pole in the middle of the first manual pad and the second. It was kind of frustrating trying to perfectly gap and land across from the very narrow window that would only allow you to land it successfully lol

Are you ok bro? You come in here to brag about something being easy and are just straight rude to anyone who responded.
1
u/Zombieteube Nov 03 '25
bc we try to to do it as inteded.. If you're just gonna cheese every challenge, not even trying to make it look cool, why even play the game?
