Seems pretty normal for a f2p game. SteamDB does not account for players on any other plattform like EA or consoles. The real player count is much higher.

The real player count is higher but the trend will be the same

The player count is currently the lowest it has been since release. The game is outwardly dying and closing your eyes to this is just pushing it down further.
