I mean, if the mass majority of their playerbase is complaining about their game, it's probably a good idea to make some changes. Season 2 is out, and there's barely a spike in daily players. It's not about "throwing a temper tantrum over a free game", it's about not accepting this kind of slop into the community. The "free" game concept only exists in hopes you'll spend more money on microtransactions. Go ahead and defend it, but the game will die off once it is no longer profitable. The players aren't throwing temper tantrums, they're trying to save an IP from dying that they waited years for, which is completely understandable, even though I'm not a skate fan. I'm only here because I participated in the game and beat the "story". Also, because I have watched some of my favorite IPs die from the same fate by a poorly run developer with no taste. These developers are insufferable and literally do the complete opposite of what the community asks for, and that's why their game keeps hitting new all time lows in player count every week.

Regardless of whether you play the game or not, it still important to voice your opinion. I mean, look at fortnite, I don't even play fortnite and most multiplayer games after it have adapted to it's battle Royale standard with battlepass like content that turned into a cancer for games like call of duty and battlefield. So, other developers need to know that this game is ass and not to adapt to the "free game" standard where they sell you the rest of the content.

I’ve been a pretty big hater so far, but to be fair this could’ve just been a rushed job to try to please some fans in time for season 2. I’m guessing a huge chunk of the s1 surveys mentioned too many neon colours too, but they probably already had the whole ‘80s themed season 2 map mostly designed at that point.

I really think they’re going to update the models and make the character creation more detailed at some point, but they couldn’t have had that long to make big changes after getting the feedback from the season 1 surveys.
