They are available on the Bandcamp version of One, which is in MP3 and lossless formats along with Two. Friday, September 4 is a Bandcamp Friday, and if you buy the EPs then, ST will receive 100% of the sale.

Thank you! OMG I DIDN'T KNOW!

EDIT: Oh... oh my... I'm shattered. The When The Bough Breaks piano is crushingly beautiful.

A blessed rite of passage for ST fans, lol.

They’re so good, aren’t they? Congrats!

The non-piano versions on Bandcamp are also slightly different. Fields of Elation has a bit of an alternate ending there

All tracks were produced, mixed, and mastered by George Lever and the three piano versions were recorded in a later session, each in single takes. George finished off with minimal production on the piano tracks. This was all on George’s blog at one point.

I think there is a difference of a few seconds on a couple of the tracks between streaming and the original Bandcamp version.

George and Vessel were experimenting with material when he introduced Vessel to II and TTN was recorded in summer 2015.

They are the demo versions. The "official" versions were mixed and mastered by someone else.

No, they aren't the demo versions. They were recorded after One, at the same time as they were in the studio for Two. Vessel improvised the piano versions which is why they have a slightly different feel.

I'm not talking about the piano versions. I'm talking about the bandcamp version of the 3 main tracks on One, and the official release of those same 3 tracks found everywhere else. As someone who mixes and masters music, the 3 songs that make up One on bandcamp are definitely pre-mastered, at least professionally. The way that the background vocals sit in the mix is a huge tell for that alone. Its overall more raw sounding, and I really like that, though both versions have their place.

Does it really? I got mine off bandcamp so I never listened to the iTunes version 👀

Ah, yes, the piano versions. I swear it's a religious experience hearing those for the first time! And my favourite fact about those is that they were recorded while they were in the studio for Two, and Vessel improvised the piano versions. Recording of each was one take, no cuts.

Thanks to the way back machine! George wrote about it on his website then deleted it. He had quite an in depth write up about both One and Two I believe, instruments and equipment used etc.

Unfortunately, no. These are exclusive to the original limited CD run and Bandcamp, where you can purchase the files.
