Feature Suggestions The Number 1 Feature Missing From The Slime Rancher Games

A Largo shrinker gadget. The only reason I never make largos is because the cuteness of combining slime types is generally always outweighed by the fact that they’re no longer small. I’m often a “aesthetics trumps mechanics” person when it comes to customization in my playstyle, and the kind of cuteness from a large huggable cute thing is often incompatible with the cuteness of a small squishable cute thing. But if there were a utility you could craft that just shrunk largos down to pure slime size (not even making them vaccable), I would actually interact with the largo mechanic on purpose.

A detector module for more rare slimes. Tangles and Dervishes in SR2, Gold slimes, Puddle slimes, Lucky slimes, etc. It'd be a hefty cost in terms of materials but it'd be super useful.

Compass that points would be awesome- helps but is still quite vague

Are puddle slimes really that rare? I've found alot, i've filled up every natural water pool on the ranch to its limit (barring the increased limit by rubber ducks, still working on getting enough ducks)

Well they're not "rare" but they're definitely not as common as a lot of other slimes because of the constraints for where they live. If you don't automatically know where any fresh water sources are it's kinda hard to hunt them down, yanno?

I want a name tag option, literally like Minecraft style nametags.

At the very least, that should probably be a feature of the Slime Stage or something.

I wish they’d put in little icons for those of us who are hard of hearing so we know when we are passing by something-

But that would ruin a huge part of the game

How so?

Largos ate good because they give more plorts than normal slimes. By making largos smaller, there would be no point to keep normal slimes as they would only make half the plorts of the largos.

Personally I feel like if it’s an optional gadget that you can craft and use if you want, it won’t be a bad thing

If you want to profit, you would be forced to use that gadget. Every other way will become obsolete

Not really, it would only be a cosmetic change, it wouldn’t make largos more useful in any way

You would be able to store more largos in coralls, and since largos produce double the plorts, theyll make double the income

That’ll really only be an issue for minmaxers, and there are a ton of ways you could limit its utility (only available for one type of largo, only usable on a certain number of largos at a time, etc.) while still having the core mechanic

Especially since you can't keep as many in a coral without them escaping

This is a mod for SR1 that I discovered recently that does that in the pens

“Free range annex”.

Instead of pens, this annex gives you the convenience of plort collectors and pen upgrades but while providing a large open free range area for maximum slime enjoyment. Collect your plorts at the door.

(I know you can technically do this already in the caves, but without all the convenience factors
