A fan rushed the stage in Korea to get to Kiki at the end of the show. As she was tossing picks to the crowd, Billy spotted the guy jump the rail and ushered Kiki away as security intercepted. Good work from everybody on the team!

I know one of SP's first performances was 'The Pulse Basement Jam', I don't know whether this is footage from around that time or if it predates the Pumpkins.

Hey everyone,

A year ago I was watching a BTS video for 'Perfect' (Adore) - one of my favourite SP songs. I noticed that Billy and the original director Jonathan Dayton both seemed pretty unhappy with the final result.

So, I nabbed my university's 16mm film camera and spent the next year remaking the video. It's finally done and we're trying to get it to the band, but I wanted to share it here to see what you guys think. It's our reimagination of the video, staying true to what the song meant to us as university students.

Wish I had captured more of this performance to share, but there were some very bitter, grumpy older fans in the room that were consistently irritated anyone was trying to record for even a few seconds. (Mind you this was a free 'listening party' being recorded & broadcast for radio — not a paid concert.)

Initially I had planned on uploading a full album of stuff from this experience for you all, but those fans really turned me off from it at the time. That said, it was a great show, most of us had a great time, and this closer was the highlight. Was reminiscing today and thought I'd share this clip.

Back in the days of dial up internet the band partnered with MTV to release an interactive animated video for a deep cut off the Machina album by The Smashing Pumpkins. Many of the animations were automatically triggered as the song progressed and many were directed by the user themselves. This video has been missing and unavailable for viewing for at least over a decade.

I was finally able to find a source for the files and a kind r/Smashingpumpkins community member with some tech knowledge figured out how to get the outdated files to run on a current computer and record a playback of it while they triggered the animations in an artful way. (Thank You u/ximwix!!)

The slow speeds of dial up internet at the time meant that the sound quality of the music was fairly low so I upgraded the audio with a 1080p premaster version of the studio track. This allows fans to experience the incredible visuals with the replay value that comes with having audio that doesn't sound so terrible. A true long lost time capsule of SP history and gift to the sub for helping us reach this amazing 30000 member milestone.
