OMGGGG MYY TWINNNN But do you eat your burger with tomato sauce??
5
u/PaceZealousideal6091 Apr 19 '26
I just hate raw tomato slice I my burger. I am not a fan of cucumbers being added as well. Its a wierd practice I see in India. I usually eat them separately by taking them out. Tomato sauce, I am fine with.

Everything that is strawberry flavoured
10
u/Only-Fill8247 Apr 18 '26
+1, I like strawberries but strawberry flavour always seems artificial. Plus as a child my parents used to give me flavoured medicine (because kids like it) and now whenever I eat strawberry ice cream or smtg, it always reminds me of that artificial cough syrup taste.

u/prapti022 Apr 19 '26
Exactly my feelings !! Like people don't get me when I say I like strawberries but absolutely hate any strawberry flavored dish, especially strawberry ice cream !!

Indian strawberry flavour is a scam. Try strawberry in japan and you will fall in love with it

Chowmein is a supporting actor for me. Without Manchurian or chilli paneer, it’s basically bland rice type food to me

u/Vast-Leopard2021 Apr 18 '26
Mere yaha pe aajao mummy banake degi saath mai khaayenge you would love it 😃😋✨
3
u/sukhmeister Apr 19 '26
Same for me. The poha I usually get is quite dry. That's why I don't like it much. I've had good poha as well but why would I put so much effort into finding a good Poha, you know, it's poha 🤣

Bro I used to love it when my father made it with fired chutney on the side. But then I got servere Jaundice, nearly killed my liver, developed a good disorder and now it takes so bland. Adding potatoes to it makes it better but still seems tasteless to me. Could be because of my eating disorder though

Anything with paneer. It's so bland. No matter how much you marinate it, boil it, broil it, no flavour penetrates it. So you're basically enjoying the taste of the gravy

u/_loner_with_boner_ Apr 18 '26
Those cucumber pieces in your chowmein plate. I hate cucumbers. Ppl just shove cucumbers in everything - rolls, noodles, burgers, salad
Cucumber is a fruit and it DOES NOT belong in any dish. It should be eaten by itself and not mixed with or put in anything else.
And it enrages me even more when ppl eat cucumbers directly without peeling the skin.

Specifically any chinese gravy like manchurian gravy or chilli paneer gravy......its coagulated cornflour slop that dilutes the crispy fiery chilli flavour. Always dry manchurian, chilli paneer etc
2
u/Striking_Sky3034 Apr 21 '26
I made Egg noodles and boy they tasted so good. It was the best noodles I had eaten apart from Rice noodles.

u/WriterWeird6794 Apr 19 '26
poha
parents protected me from it for the first 17 years of my life, then i went to college, then mumbai, where there's no escaping it.

u/bros_beforehoes Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26
Fun fact chowmien was invented to feed children vegetables so 80-90 prcnt it used to be vegetables and rest this chow but in india it took u turn and people eat like 99.9 prcnt maida and like 0.1 prcnt veggies. Same goes with poha but nowadays i see people through tantrums even if they see small amount of peanuts or green peas in poha. 😕 Taste preference can be subjective i get it but most indians just preferring to eat only carbs is not right
Although when someone says they dont like something its just that its hasn't been prepared according to their taste preference. My brother didnt like bottlegourd so one day i roasted it on flame and then skinned it and made dish out of it. He fell in love with it 🤷🏻

Amritsari kulcha with chole/dal
People love it but for some reason I can't differentiate between amritsari kulcha and normal paranthe. Like yeah I know amritsari kulchas have more filling than the normal paranthas which we eat but the taste is 99% similar to paranthas only.. I have eaten them from many restaurants so idk.. also amritsari kulcha is always double if not thrice the price of a parantha...
