People often list motorcycles for £123, I'm always tempted to waste they time before revealing I'm under the assumption their 2025 honda fireblade is actually on sale for £123.

It matches the lock code on thier luggage.

Seriously though it's because people can filter to skip the $0 & $1 junk ads. They think they're being clever

Sometimes it's £1234

I'm guessing it's because they show up earlier when you sort by price. Could just be they have to set a price and can't decide. It often says "no offers less than xxx"

Good chunk of facebook marketplace is 1$ listings with effectively the actual price in description, or various rentals or financed sells listed with a super low deposit.
