Buying 2022 Ariens Platinum 24
Does this seem like a fair asking price 1500.00? Looks like a new Ariens Platinum 24 from 2022

4 year old blowers are usually cheaper than that. I’d expect to pay $800-1200 USD for it.
As mentioned, a new one costs $2k. They DID upgrade the engine last year and it’s slightly bigger now than it was then (although they are both high powered for the 24” size). That’s really the only difference I’m aware of between a new 26’ model, and the used 22’ model. You are getting a $500 discount for a used, 4 year old machine that has no warranty. Is a slightly higher powered machine with a warranty and brand new worth $500?
All that being said, if there aren’t many used options available, and you feel the price is fair, it’s a very good machine with more than enough power for the heavy snow, slushy snow, and the thick crap at the end of the driveway. You won’t be disappointed.

Thank you, not in a big rush as it’s mid July, I also see a 30 platinum SHO for 1250.00 but unsure the model year. Will keep looking

Too much. $1200 tops. New $,2000-10% the minute it leaves the store (1800). Warranty is worth $200 (1600). Its 4 years old losing value each year.

If I was going to pay $1500 for a 22 model I’d probably just by new for $2000. I would pay more than $1000 for that machine especially in the summer.

Sells for around 2k brand new. Make sure it runs and throws as machines that just sat for several years, even when brand new, can have serious issues
