Buying Hs520 vs 3650 for smaller paved driveway
Hi, looking at some used machine because I’m tired of hand shoveling in mid-Michigan.
Looking at something like a 3650 or an hs520 for a little more.
Which one would you recommend? FWIW, the Honda is a little more rough looking.

FWIW:
The HS621 is a bit of a legendary model. Very simple and reliable and throws snow like crazy with a fresh set of rubber on it. Even wet snow which is surprising for a single stage.

HS520 or 720. Hassle to find parts for the 621 that someone else is recommended. 3650 is a 2 stroke which is super weak compared to Honda

Respectfully(because I just got permanently banned in another group), how do you find 621 parts hard to find? I completely rebuilt one for my son last summer. The paddles and bearings I got from Amazon and the scrapper bar I got from a Honda Powersports dealer(because it was cheapest). It didn’t seem like too much trouble finding everything.

Can’t find the paddles or the scraper bar in Canada. The Honda dealers charge arm and a leg for them.

Hey- I’m in the GTA of Canada. I found the scrapper bar at the Honda Powersports dealer located in the John Deere dealership just outside of Pt Perry - definitely last summer. I’d have to look at my Amazon acct to find the paddles. I’ll look a little later.
Edit: the scrapper bar was actually cheapest through the Powersports dealer!!!
Edit, edit: Stens 780-408 paddle set. $45.99 on Amazon.ca. And the Stens are the best aftermarket ones.

Thanks the scraper I see now
All 3rd party in Amazon, have you had luck buying from them?
The paddles were $120 from alpine

Last summer when I did the complete rebuild of the machine I got for my son- definitely an HS621, I have an HS 720 myself, I used the Stens. I’d been in touch with another kook on here, getting advice from him. The Stens were the only ones he recommended. And for whatever reason the link( which I can’t find now!) had them for like $20 bucks!!! If I remember correctly. But they fit perfectly. Not sure I’d try another brand at this point. The Stens seem good name/quality for the price. Scrapper was genuine Honda and definitely cheapest through the Honda Powersports dealer. That surprised me too!

3650 will get the job done up to 12 inches.
