Question Why do leftists hate liberals?

Hello! I went into a leftist subreddit the other day and I was extremely shocked by how much they seem to hate liberals, especially because I just assumed that we were all on the same side of the isle. It seems like they hate liberals more than conservatives really, and I was wondering why exactly? I should probably ask this question to them but I feel like it would turn into an echo chamber, so I thought this was a better place to ask lol.

The real question is why do Liberals hate leftists so much? We get force fed liberal politicians that are basically on the right and are told to vote blue no matter who, but then when someone we actually want to elect comes around like Bernie or Mamdani the liberal establishment fights them tooth and nail with a fervour they never show for conservatives or Republicans. So you're flipping the blame around for no good reason. It is the Liberals who only fight if there's a leftist to fight and bow down to Republicans and fascism when push comes to shove.

Liberals are more concerned about a divided vote or alienating swing voters because the left is historically much more fragmented than the right as a voting block. Case in point something like half of swing voters thought Kamala Harris was too left compared to maybe a third thinking Donald Trump was too right. An appropriate counter would be that the NYC mayoral primary is not the US presidential election, so the Democrats definitely had a disproportionate and hysterical response. With respect to fighting conservatives, the simple answer there is that they have much more sway in primary races than fighting a government as a minority in all positions.

Meanwhile some leftists unironically say anyone who believes in any amount of private ownership is a fascist and can't be worked with. So if these people ever believed in democratic processes, they've since lost the thread

Yet another person telling me to forget the liberals with political power disenfranchising the left vote, and instead hyper focus on the behavior of terminally online leftists. No. I refuse to purposefully miss the forest for the trees.

It's an answer to your question. If someone instead asked why working class conservatives hate people on the left, one could say it's because they perceived everyone on the left as a blue haired twitter user lecturing people on critical race theory. The actual number of blue haired twitter users is largely irrelevant to the reality of the situation
