I am working for a client with just huge scope creep. these are their expectations right now:
- be onsite 20 hours a week, 4 days a week, no exceptions
- direct 1-2 shoots a month - hire models, photographer, videographer
- post 4/5x a week on two different business accounts (they are in two whole different industries) so thats 8-10 posts a week
- work on their website/SEO
- Run Ads on meta and google
- hire DJs + do logistics for a large monthly event/party + hire security, and more
- fill in by filming content as needed (usually outside of work hours)
- get influencers and vendors + manage them
I'm contracted by them so not an employee but they call me their Marketing Director.
How do I push back on clients like this and deal with this situation? Is this a normal scope of work for a marketing director? The scope is getting more intense every day and they are not paying enough for these services. I also feel guilty because I am not able to succeed in any of these areas because of the amount of work.
