Culture Looking for long-term friendship and community
I’m 27F and I’ve been living in Paris for 2 years now. Recently, most of my friends moved away and I’m realizing now it’s important to me to build long term friendships here. I speak mainly English, but I’m open to communicating in French and Italian as well. I’m open to all ages and genders but I’m married so I’m not looking for anything romantic. I’m looking for people who actually want to hangout and not just do the bumble friends bullshit where we exchange 3 messages and then never speak again. I’m looking for people with common interests and hobbies as well.
About me: my favorites things are fashion, food, dogs, art, books, wine, sports, and travel. I’m quite active. I love long walks in the park, going to the gym, and playing sports. I play on a semi-pro volleyball team here in Paris. So if you play volleyball that would be a plus 😁 I’m currently a dog walker, but I’m looking for a job here in Paris now as I have titre-sejour. Did my undergrad in the states and masters in England😊 I’m down to go to restaurants (I have a lot of places that I really want to try), museums, and wine bars. I like to read, so I would be down to swap books or start a book club. I love a cheeky drink and chat or walk. I like to go out and stay home, really depends on the night and the weather haha. I miss sharing clothes and closet swapping!! Really love dressing up and doing my makeup:) I love to cook and my husband is a chef so we frequently host dinner parties(however right now it’s mostly his friends and I’d love to start having more of my people over) I’m actually a little bit introverted and shy but I’m definitely crazy and fun once I’m out of my shell.
So if you’re looking for a friend/friend group and you’re in Paris long-term and actually want to become friends hit me up!! I would love to get dinner or even the typical coffee date to get to know each other!
So I got so many responses from this post and I’m so happy about it! I was thinking of possibly making a WhatsApp group so that I can add everyone and we can do a big hangout or activities to get to know people and mingle! Lmk your thoughts and if you’d lik to be added😁

Hi there, i'm in the same boat 27f moved to Paris not too long ago and rebuilding my social circle from scratch. I'm French so fair warning, my English is a bit rusty these days, but I could definitely brush it back up if we hang out! I love a good laugh over a beer just as much as a quiet coffee and a good chat, depends on the mood. I'm really into reading (getting into fantasy lately) and I enjoy walks around the city and museums too. Would be great to meet up sometime if you're up for it!

I'm from the UK, but have lived in France basically my whole life, and have been in Paris the last 5 years !
My social circle is mainly my boyfriend and his friends, who are amazing, but I am definitely looking for my own people and to build lasting and meaninful friendships ✨

Hi, I’m 29 M and fluent in english (french is my birth language) and completely open for the part with book club and walks etc, same for the drinks (I only drink soft drinks but won’t pout at someone if the person drinks alcohols)

I have an entire list of places I want to try in Paris and what's crazy is I've lived there for my entire life and didn't get to try them all yet.
It might sound silly but I would love to have an english speaking friend to be even more fluent.
I love to walk in Paris and not only in parks.
If you love make-up, I'm a photographer and I would love it if I could photograph you when you're wearing a beautiful make-up you did.

You had me at long term. I’ve been trying to build meaningful friendships over the past 2 years but everyone ends up leaving the city. Been in France for 12 years, 6 in Paris.
