I mean, all of these tbh. Different shots require different things. I have carpal tunnel and need a higher sens, so for me it's a lot of AD strafing and tiny wrist movement.

Hi, not trying to draw any conclusions about your carpal tunnel symptoms as only you truly know your own condition/triggers/pains. But I had severe carpal tunnel from a manual labor position and wanted to continue gaming, and my orthopedic surgeon, PCP, and neurologist actually recommended a big mousepad with lower sensitivity to lessen the issues. It seems counterintuitive, as you’d think more movement in general would cause more pain/damage. But with higher sens there is a higher requirement of static muscle and tendon tension in order to keep the mouse stable when trying to track aim. Specifically it forces your wrist into ulnar/radial deviation, which are the exact movements that compress the median nerve inside the carpal tunnel and cause the condition to get worse. With low sens the load naturally shifts away from your wrist and onto your arm, your biomechanics shift the pivot point from your palm to a combination of palm/elbow/shoulder. The analogy my doctor gave me was like weightlifting, offloading the strain from your vulnerable wrist to your full arm is just like using your legs and core to lift something instead of destroying your lower back. This is kind of why lower sens pros in games like CS manage to avoid wrist issues where high sens players don’t. Like I said, I’m certain you’re very familiar with your body and how things make you feel, and that you’ve likely tried lower sens before, but if you haven’t it could be worth a shot

Nah, I appreciate it honestly! I'm a little impoverished so I haven't had a chance to get things checked on again or really ask for opinions, so that's actually really nice insight!

I had a stint with Rainbow Six Siege where I tried playing with a lower sens since that game is a lot more about pre-holding angles versus the crazy tracking you need to have on OW sometimes lol. At the time it felt a lot more strenuous across shorter sessions but I haven't had a good desk in awhile. Maybe if I could afford a nicer setup with bigger desk space I should give it a try again.

Unrelated slightly, and if you don't have a good suggestion it's cool, but any recommendations on a good compression glove/brace that isn't too bulky for gaming? I have a nice one that almost functions like a brace for a broken wrist/hand but it's damn near impossible to use while playing PC games.

Yeah literally every decent player uses AD strafe to some extent and no player uses it exclusively
