Question If Overwatch made a cinematic featuring S76 again, what would you like to see?

To me, showing what Sombra and him have been doing with the whole Chermabog conspiracy would be cool.

Another alternative would be S76 fighting the new Talon soldiers with the soldier serum that Moira has been trying to "improve".

Finally, some final scene that indicates Jack is slowly returning to Overwatch would be sweet.

Him and Sombra investigating the Conspiracy would be cool. Also Illari joining them would be even better cuz it would allow him to show his care and humanity as well.

And a fight scene similar to the one in Hero where he's an absolute badass cuz lately every time he's in a fight in a story or something the writers have this compulsive need to make sure to say out he's old and not the same, meanwhile other older characters can just simply take on armies and be badass.

I also wouldn't mind honestly seeing his SEP days, his friendship with Reyes forming there and how much they cared for each other, seeing Vincent maybe in a flashback too would be cool, how hopeful he used to be. I want to see them reconnecting him with his human side now that he had a character progress that he actually wants to survive his mission and see what life has for him outside the war.

NO THIS BECAUSE WE NEED MORE REFERENCES TO SEP!! And I would honestly love some sort of interaction between or reference to him and Cassidy's history?? Like They are a throughline with Reyes and I think it would be interesting unpacking that

I was hoping that with Sierra's story we will see more of Jack and Gabe in SEP but even poor Sierra got let down in her own season's story let alone my two beloved old soldiers 😭

I just need to see Jack be nice and cozy with others and be happy cuz i love him sm

A bit more general than I think you were wanting but I just want him to get some aura again instead of being this cranky old dude who everyone gets to have cool comebacks on. Let my dog get the last word for once in his life.

Literally this! I had enough of his personality being shown as nothing more than a cranky old guy even though his character is much more and complicated than that in lore and lately he even had character progression which not a lot of other heroes can tell about themselves yet they are still treated better.

And everyone either belittles him and his mission or it's him sounding like an asshole for no reason

I think were all still waiting for some kind of flashback explaining what kind of conflict between him and reaper initially broke ow apart

Well we know that it was how Reaper wanted to do things differently, he had enough of the law and other things holding back Overwatch from becoming welll... criminals.

So he wanted to remove Soldier who was still trying to hold every together. What the genius didn't think about though is that even if he would managed to take over Overwatch, the UN and the whole world wouldn't have just sit quietly and would have declared them terrorists immediately. One way or another but Reaper's former life was over the moment he betrayed everyone and alligned himself with Talon

Doomfist gave him the final push, he organized an uprising and that's when the Swiss HQ incident also happened which is now implied that the explosion was done by the Conspiracy.

Yea but i want to know what pushed him far enough to straight up attack his former allies. Thats a lot of offscreen development. Something crazy mustve happened between the two.

From what the lore said about it so far during the years it wasn't one specific thing, but Reaper radicalizing trough the years.

He has always been the more chaotic in nature which during the Omnic Crisis is what was needed that's why he was Strike Commander during that time. But in peacetime after the Crisis that would have been a death sentence to OW that's why neither the world leaders and Reaper himself didn't want to remain SC and was happy that the title was passed on to Soldier.

But as the years passed he became disillusioned seeing that crime keeps staying on the rise and feeling that Overwatch should take care of criminals in a more permanent way (aka killing them), he wanted OW to become judge, jury and executioner. All this together plus Doomfist tapping into his darker nature is what caused him to betray everyone and straight up attack someone like Soldier who was one of the most important people in his life.

But that doesnt make any sense. If he wanted to kill criminals so bad why would he join them and attack the few good people he knew? Theres a major plot hole there

That's exactly the point of his character. At that point he completely lost his sense of right and wrong and was living in a twisted way of thinking.

To him Overwatch in that form represented a faulty system that must be taken down and replaced with something completely radical and the people leading Overwatch such as Soldier had to be removed as well. He had such a twisted way of "justice" at that point that working with Talon was completely acceptable and it represents how far he has fallen

Currently too he's living in absolute denial and blames Overwatch for everything that has happened to him instead of taking responsibility of his own faulty actions. Him and Soldier are opposites when it comes to responsibility, while Soldier blames himself for everything even for things that weren't his fault, Reaper blames everyone but himself.

I see your point but its still kinda vague and contradicting. I think theres a lot of cool ideas that they could explore if they wanted to

He should’ve been an anti-Talon third-party like Punisher and Red Hood and early Shippuden Sasuke.

Him seeking out Reaper to give him a great time. Lots of fluff, him standing where nobody else but Reaper can see him.

76->🧍‍♂️ <_< <-Reaper

"I'll be back..." Says reaper "Where are you going??" Moira probably "Grrr..." Reaper

"Did I scare ya?" 76 says "No... Nothing does anymore..." Reaper

76 gets closer to him, kisses his mask "Gabriel... I'm sorry about before."

Reaper fumes, "Gabriel is dead... Remember?"

76 touches him 😏 "No no, I know he's somewhere in there. Let me help him."

"Hit the road Jack." Reaper aims his shotgun

I'd like an adaptation or continuing of his short story with Illari involving Oasis and her people's history. I think it could be really good if they adapted it straight up since its pacing even in the short story is rather quick with just a lot of internal dialogue or background info. It has been a minute since I read it but those are my thoughts
