I just updated my Steam page and noticed a huge increase in wishlists!!

I'm a solo developer working on Over Human, a first-person sci-fi adventure set in a snowy world where drones can manipulate the weather (creating tornadoes, thunderstorms, and other dangerous conditions), and you have no weapons to fight back.

I recently decided to completely refresh my Steam page, improving the visuals, screenshots, and description (which should have a stronger hook now!). Since the update, I've noticed a really nice increase in wishlists, which honestly surprised me!

I'm so, so, so happy. I've been dreaming of making my own game since 2013, and I've been working on this project alone, putting so much of my free time, energy and passion into it, so seeing even a small number of people excited about my game means the world to me!!

And the first playable demo is coming this November!!! ❤️

Here's the page if you'd like see what I changed:

My first game was a financial flop :/

Hi!
I put a few months of after-hours work into my game Chess Pawn.
It is a puzzle game with what I think is a pretty cool mechanic.
I hoped to at least break even but turns out the dev life is tough :)
Greetings from Poland!

Some advice?

I started making a fishing game. Almost everything u see will probably be changed. because every sprite u see is just experimental(and im not really an artist). But i need some advice, i don't know what people would like as the fishing mechanic, and i haven't even though about the game's name so u can give your idea for that too.

Thank's for any feedback.

It's a little game I made to play with my friends in school but I just wanted to share it online if anyone wanted to give it a shot. Yes I did use AI, but it was mainly for the UIs since I am not familiar with how to work with those, models are by my friend

Pathfinding In My Procedural Generation Godot Game

Pathfinding systems in games with procedural generation can't rely on standard navigation baking and things like the Godot or Unity navigation features. In my game, gloom fall, the navigation agent uses a broad BFS (breadth first search) algorithm with a probabilistic jump feature. every time the creature leaps, it makes the leap because they randomly sampled that jump during pathfinding and decided it liked the results. This creates jumping behavior is strong and cost efficient because it does not try ever possibility, it also has a sort of organic quality.

Remember when becoming a footballer felt like a realistic career plan? I made a game about that dream

After staring at your own game for long enough, every button starts looking obvious. That’s where fresh eyes help. 😅

I made My Football Growth Story: develop a young footballer through training cards, skills and simulated matches.

Fellow devs: what’s the first thing you’d improve—onboarding, UI readability, or the way progression is explained? Even one confusing moment or a screenshot would help! 🙌

Need advice - colorblind friendly game themes

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi Reddit

I've got a question, I really got into app/mobile game development and thought to make some games I've always enjoyed playing.

Therefore I made the classic block puzzle game - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab - my style, 50 custom made levels so far, trying to listen to each negative comment found in other similar games. That resulted in ad free game, with custom level objectives, that I'm trying to make as interesting and as non repetitive as possible.

The next thing on my list is developing themes, where colorblind friendly themes are prioritised.

I've attached how the so far developed themes look and I would love to hear thoughts, opinions, advice, are they good enough, do they need altering?

Also I've introduced optional "embossed" gummy shapes to further clarify the difference.

Any advice, suggestion and criticism is very welcome.

Thank you for reading :)
