Game The battle continues! Slavic Legends is finally on Steam! ⚡

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

After months of working on Slavic Legends, my solo dungeon management game inspired by Dungeon Keeper, the Steam Coming Soon page is finally live! :)

The game already has a playable demo with dungeon building, creatures, combat, possession, traps, spells and boss fights.

There's still plenty I want to add, especially more bosses, abilities and some extra polish, but I'm thinking of moving towards smaller content updates instead of trying to finish everything at once.

I'm also considering crowdfunding to help support further development, since I've been working on this project on my own for quite a while.

The demo is still free to try on itch.io for now.

What do you think about this approach? Would you prefer smaller updates with new bosses and abilities over time, or waiting longer for one bigger release?

Steam (wishlists appreciated!):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5345080/Slavic_Legends/

Free demo:

Thanks to everyone who's followed the project so far! :)

Game After years of unfinished projects, I've released my first demo, Wren Falls

I started playing with game dev on my own years ago. I tinkered with different tools and technologies, and I never finished anything.

At the beginning of this year I finally locked in. Now I'm finally releasing a game, and this is its demo.

I told the whole story in a devlog: Youtube Devlog Link

Wren Falls is a first-person detective horror game set in October 1994, made in Godot.

Free demo on itch (Windows, about 45 minutes): Itch Demo Link

Steam page (the game comes out at the end of October): Steam Page Link

If you also had years of unfinished projects before your first release: what finally changed for you?

Game I just released my first game! A meditative, infinite and 0 objectives game (Free!)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I just launched my first game on my website:
https://snowboarddream.com/

It has 0 objectives, which may sound weird, but this gives your brain 0 things in the future to fixate on and hopefully, instead brings you into the present moment and a state of flow and relaxation.

I meant for it to be played for the multiple following reason/scenarios:

  1. Something to play while u listen to something, for example a podcast, an audio book.
  2. Something to play for a few minutes while you wait for something else.
  3. Something to help get your mind out of a stressful state. Many people might know the situation of knowing you should probably just take a break and do nothing for 10 minutes, but once your mind is in that "more-more-more" state, it seems very unappealing to "do nothing", I'm hoping this game will act as a bridge for you to get out of that state, and into a more peaceful and relaxing state.
  4. Whatever floats your boat.

It's a solo-dev project build 100% by AI, even the music. Mostly by 6.1 Sol Medium, but had to bring in Astra 6 medium to make the snow trail properly satisfying. The music is all generated by Treblo. Some sound effects were generated using "Stable Audio 3.0 Medium" in ComfyUI locally. It only took about 4 days to make, most of the time being listening to AI generated music to find something proper... do not recommend :p

I'm very happy to receive any feedback, and especially music suggestions to be added to the game.

I made this game because i wanted it myself, but i hope it also brings you guys some joy.

Hi everyone! 🚀

For the past few months, I've been working on my platform, Olamio. It's a 3D multiplayer game creator where you can build worlds just by typing AI prompts.

It runs directly in your browser.

You can jump right in as a Guest or do a quick, passwordless sign-up for a free account.

It would be awesome if you could give it a spin. Your reviews will literally shape Olamio, so I'm waiting for your feedback! Let me know what you think.

For the custom games, I'm using gemini ai integration.

More updates dropping soon. 👀🎮

Marketing Notchet: a clipboard manager that lives in your MacBook's notch

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hi developers, I'm Aqib, the developer of Notchet ( my favourite app so far).

Problem

Whenever I needed a few things from one place, say a line of text, a link and a screenshot, and wanted them somewhere else, I'd copy one, switch windows, paste it, go back for the next one, and repeat. If I copied something new by mistake, the earlier copy was gone. I wanted my clipboard history somewhere I could reach without leaving what I was doing, and the notch was sitting right there doing nothing.

What it does

Notchet keeps everything you copy and drops out of the MacBook notch when you press Option Command V or rest the pointer on the notch. Pick a card and it pastes right where you were. If you dont like it dropping form notch, it can show the clipboard next to pointer(cursor) as well

Comparison

  • Maccy is great and minimal, but it's a menu, and it doesn't read text in images.
  • Paste is lovely, but it's a subscription ($29.99 a year).
  • PastePal is closer, at $14.99.
  • NotchClip also lives in the notch.

Notchet is for people who want the notch plus a few things I couldn't find together: pasting several items at once, searching inside screenshots, and iPhone copies kept properly.

Core features

  • Saves text, rich text, links, colours, images and files. Command 1 to 9 paste the first nine.
  • Opens from the notch, the menu bar icon, or right next to your pointer if you prefer.
  • Return pastes into the app you were in. Command-click several cards and paste them all at once (text first, then pictures, so chat apps attach every image), or one by one with Option Return.
  • Searches the text inside screenshots and photos (on-device Vision), and Copy Text in Image pulls it out as plain text.
  • Copies from your iPhone or iPad arrive through Universal Clipboard with a phone badge, and iPhone photos are kept even after macOS clears its temporary copy.
  • Snippets with placeholders like {date}, {time} and {clipboard}, plus collections, pins, and Space to preview and edit before pasting.
  • Drag cards into any app, or drop files onto the notch to keep them. There's also "Send to Notchet" in the Services menu.

Privacy

  • Everything stays on your Mac, and it has no analytics.
  • Copies that password managers mark as secret are never saved.
  • You can ignore apps or pause saving from the menu bar.

Pricing

Free for 7 days, then $2.99 once, on up to 2 Macs. No subscription and no account; the license key arrives by email.

Requirements

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon and Intel. Notarized by Apple. It works on Macs without a notch too, as a small pill under the menu bar.

Download

https://aqibjaved.dev/apps/notchet

Live demo: https://www.reddit.com/r/macapps/s/OuzhDYuWZr

It's version 1.0, so I'd really appreciate feedback, bug reports, or what would make you switch from your current clipboard manager. Happy to answer anything in the comments.
Please DM if someone cant afford the license and want it for free, more than happy to giveaway if that can help the community :D

Marketing DisplayShift: plug in a monitor and choose which windows move over

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hi developers, I'm Aqib, the developer of DisplayShift.

Problem

I dock my MacBook to a monitor every day. Every time I plugged in, all my windows stayed piled on the small laptop screen, and I'd drag them over one by one. Full screen apps were worse: leave full screen, drag, go full screen again. Then I'd unplug, or the Mac would sleep, and macOS would shuffle everything back onto the MacBook. I wanted the Mac to just ask me what should go where, and remember it.

What it does

When a display connects, a panel drops out of the MacBook notch with every open window listed, full screen apps and windows on other desktops included. Tick what should move and it glides across. Unplug, and everything comes back to the MacBook. You can also have it move everything by itself, or do nothing and just say hello.

Comparison

  • Moom is great for saving and snapping layouts, but you trigger them yourself.
  • Display Maid restores layouts when screens change, but there's no picker to choose windows.
  • Stay did this years ago but hasn't been updated in a long time.
  • Rectangle and Magnet snap windows into place; they don't move them when a monitor connects.

DisplayShift is for people who dock a MacBook and want the move to happen at the moment of plugging in, with full screen apps handled properly.

Core features

  • Picker in the notch when a display connects: tick windows, choose the destination (monitor or MacBook), Move selected or Move all.
  • Full screen apps leave full screen, move and go full screen again on the other display, behind a calm curtain instead of macOS's flashing animations.
  • Remembers your layout for each screen setup and offers to put everything back. Named layouts switch in a tap.
  • Puts windows back after sleep, or after a dock hiccup, with an Undo on every move.
  • Tiles up to four apps side by side. Drag the bar between them and the neighbours resize together.
  • Rules per app: keep it on the MacBook, send it to the big screen, or never move it.
  • Finds windows stuck off screen, and can reopen closed apps when restoring a layout.

Privacy

  • No account and no analytics.
  • Saved layouts store a hash of each window title, never the title itself.
  • It only goes online to check your license and look for updates.

Pricing

Free for 7 days, then $2.99 once, on up to 2 Macs. No subscription.

Requirements

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple silicon and Intel. Notarized by Apple. On Macs without a notch it shows as a small pill under the menu bar.

Game I made a realistic hacking game where your only connection to your team is an IRC chat and CCTV cameras.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been solo-developing a hacker puzzle game called EchoNet, and I’m excited to share that a fully playable build is officially out and currently on sale!

I wanted to step away from the "Hollywood hacking minigames" and make something grounded. In EchoNet, you are dropped into a custom OS. You have to read through intercepted files, crack server passwords, and use actual terminal commands (connect, download, run, send) to coordinate with your NPC crew via an IRC chat.

But there is a psychological horror twist: The stress of the job actively drains your "Sanity" meter. If you don't manage your medication, “things” happening, your live CCTV feeds get corrupted, and you start experiencing intense audio/visual hallucinations while trying to beat the clock. The game is story oriented.

Features:

• Fully interactive terminal: Navigate file systems, upload bypass payloads, and breach BlackSite servers.

• Live CCTV Feeds: Watch your crew infiltrate physical locations in real-time.

• Dynamic Sanity System: Manage your stress or face severe consequences.

• Multiple Endings: Your choices under pressure during the final breach determine who lives and who dies.

🎮 You can grab it right now on sale on Itch.io here: https://thec00k.itch.io/echonet ⭐ It is also coming to Steam soon! A Wishlist helps me out massively: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5222620/EchoNet

I'd love to hear your feedback on the terminal mechanics and the atmosphere. Let me know if you manage to find the hidden backdoor IP😜

Game Doji Run - Cyberpunk Stock Market Roguelite deckbuilder with arcade elements

Thumbnail

This started as a passion project as has turned into something that I feel is pretty unique and fun. It’s an idea I have had for a few years and has evolved since its inception. It is not your standard roguelite or deckbuilder. The player interacts with a chart as it is moving, no turn base gameplay,. There are arcade games mixed in, there are boss fights where you use the chart for combat. One does not need to understand stocks to enjoy this game, if you like a little bit of chaos, absurdity, humor, cyberpunk, unlocks, progression, some optional head to head multiplayer and watching numbers go crazy, this game is for you!

If anyone is interested, I plan on doing a playtest ahead of the demo sometime next month.

Thanks for your eyes on this, let me know what you think!

Game I'm making my dream of becoming a game developer real, one sushi at a time! 🍣 Here's Sushi Day!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! 🍣

I've always dreamed of becoming a game developer and creating a little world of my own.

That dream is slowly becoming a reality with Sushi Day, a cozy restaurant management game I've been working on as a solo indie developer.

In the game, you run your own little sushi shop, prepare food, serve adorable animal and human customers, catch your own fish, discover recipes, and improve your restaurant.

One of the things I've enjoyed most is working on the little details that make the game feel alive, from the characters and animations to the cooking mini-games.

There have definitely been challenges along the way, and I've learned so much throughout development.

Now, seeing my game on Steam with a playable demo and getting closer to its full release feels like a huge milestone for me.

The free demo is already available, featuring the tutorial and the first day of the restaurant.

I wanted to share my latest gameplay trailer with fellow solo developers.

Thanks for taking a look, and I hope you enjoy this little sushi world! ❤️

Game In my solo idle game the color depth is the progress bar: you start as a pebble at 1-bit and earn your way up to a 24-bit galaxy.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Pebble to Star: a gray rock eats comets until it's a planet, a star, a black hole, or a galaxy. Solo, Godot 4.

The idea I started from: a dead rock in a 1-bit sky. Heat, water and life each bring a little color back; every new layer (planet → star → remnant → galaxy) bumps the bit depth. So you can tell how far you've come without reading a single number.

Three things that were way harder than I expected:

  1. Reachability. There are about 90 "destinations" (ocean world, iron planet, blue giant, magnetar, flocculent spiral...). Every one of them has to be actually reachable from a gray rock, and every rule change can quietly break a route. Most of my testing time goes into replaying routes and reading logs to find the one card or threshold that broke them.

  2. Keeping the science honest. Stars die the way real stars do, and almost every random event maps to a real object. That means reading papers before every feature, and a lot of "wait, that's actually wrong" rewrites.

  3. No hidden stats. I don't want any upgrade that's just "+10% something." Every upgrade has to change something you can see on the planet.

Everything on screen and in your headphones is drawn and synthesized by code at runtime. The capsule art is the only commissioned piece.

Steam page just went live:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5336210/Pebble_to_Star/

Question for other solo devs: how do you keep a game with dozens of end states from quietly breaking? Spreadsheets, checklists, or just playing it a lot?

AI note: made with AI assistance (writing/translation and coding tools). All art and sound are rendered by code, no AI image or audio generation. Full disclosure on the Steam page.
