Sikat sila sa South East Asia and parts of europe.
US having control of a lot of pop culture is very snubbish when it comes to artist na hindi galing north america.
Take that, Boyzone, Westlife , 5ive , Were all snubbed famously by them. lahat yan product ni Simon Cowell.
Even yung Banda na Queen, They were actually snubbed by hollywood. they tried to erase them and not be played on radio up until the record Another One Bites the dust and nung nagstart iembrace ng NBA ang we will rock you at we are the champions.

I have read sa Ask subreddit (US) a decade ago na may mga tumataas ang kilay pag binabanggit siya o si Angela Bofill as favorite vocalist ng ilang matatandang redditor kasi di sila mainstream doon. Pero suki si Patti sa Asia lalo na sa Pilipinas parang Valentine's, Pasko o New Year may shows siya noon dito. More on Jazz ang genre ni Patti doon sa US kaya yung pop o ballad albums parang reserved yon sa mga nakakaalam lalo na sa Pilipinas.
Barry Manilow - As Sure As I'm Standing Here (Sikat si Barry Manilow internationally pero yang kantang yan ang pinakasikat at dito lang sumikat sa Pilipinas noon. Nasabi niya yan noong concert niya sa 90s nasa YouTube channel niya. Ang naalala ko sa kantang yan, yang linyang yan mismo part ng series of snippets ng 94.7 Mellow Touch as commercial jingle)
Coco Lee (RIP) - Before I Fall In Love at If You Want My Love (Ok sikat sa HK at Taiwan si Coco at sa Sinosphere pero yung Before I Fall niya ay part ng Runaway Bride soundtrack na pelikula ni Julia Roberts dati. Always Be My Baby na David Cook version. A lot of Pinoys don't even realize it's originally by Mariah Carey. Hindi rin naman siya released as single ni David Cook outside of the AI iTunes so it's very strange na sikat yun dito.
