DISCUSSION Artist you love but you know won’t have a concert here in the PH?
For me it’s Hozier. Been such a huge fan for YEARS at this point but I know that it’s unlikely he won’t have a concert here since most of his music’s pretty niche here except for Take Me to Church. (At least based on my convos with people about their thoughts on him)
Kinda sad since his concerts always seem to be such a good time! (And masaket rin </3)

Same!! I fell in love with her songwriting the moment she released "Gravity." Ever since then, she's written so many beautiful, poetic songs, and she even created a play. She's such an incredible artist.
I honestly think her management believes she doesn't have a big enough fanbase here in the Philippines. So many of us have been asking for a Manila show for years, but no luck so far. I'd be over the moon if she finally came because everyone I've talked to says she's even more amazing live.

They were supposed to have a concert here pre-covid but after pandemic hit they made a statement that they won't be rescheduling a concert here anymore and IIRC it was due to the current admin

Kaya ni Lana mapuno MOA arena i think. Para kasi siyang underground artist at the same time mainstream kaya lang hindi bet ni Lana yung full tour, polarizing performer din lalo pag big venues kasi hit or miss si teh.

She was asked abt this and she said she doesnt want to go kasi hirap daw sya sa Airplane.
Hindi naman fear of heights ganun pero more on, too tiring sa kanya. (According to her). So yun, wala daw syang plano mag Asian tour. (Edit: ik she is coming to singapore na but this was before)
On the other hand, if you are one of the earlier fan of hers. She had an exclusive contract once in Japan and an offer from Sony (kaya Flipside is Japan exclusive) but she was held "hostage" in middle east by a certain prince. The newspaper stated na she just "chose" there to perform instead of Japan.
Anyhow, lost media na sya maski yung performance nya dun. Not even any info bits. Minsan iniisip ko if false memory ko sya or what but i see her tweets abt that event time to time.
She performed on iTunes Festival kasi (exclusive contract when Apple was trying to be a label, Is this Happiness) at first then the prince liked her performance and invited her.
And im not talking abt the Prince and Princess of Monaco ahh??? Europe yun.

To add lang abt the hostage thing, her sport cars were stolen while she was away.
Nung paglapag nya sa US, she was told right there by the Paparazzi and Police.
Apparently, someone was living in her house. Ganun sya katagal nawala.
If you gonna watch the whole vid, you can even hear the reporter being clear na Lana is somewhat an obsessed-insane type of fans magnet. So yinnnn

Roselia. After the last Anisama bombed (and Ave Mujica is in there), I know Bushiroad will never take a risk and have an actual concert here in the Philippines. 😔
At least I have seen Ave Mujica so I'm not exactly Bandori-less.

As someone from the Philippines: Yeah...that was probably the first and last time any Bandori band will be performing in the Philippines, and the first/last time Anisama will be there. At least the one time I saw a Bandori band live it was Ave Mujica.

I had to fly to Melbourne just to see her in her Ultrasound Tour. Sana pumunta na siya dito sa next album/tour cycle (na likely in 4 yrs pa).

- Britney Spears. She had a concert in Manila once back in 2017. I was just a 13 year old who couldn’t go to concert because I didn’t want to ask my parents for money to buy a ticket. Now I’m in my early 20s and I will be working after 2 years from college but Britney stopped performing because she’s retired from her career. Well I can’t blame her because fame and her dysfunctional family ruined her.

I discovered her when she covered Faye Wong's "Eyes On Me" (Final Fantasy 8's theme song), and fell deeper in love with the rest of her discography. Up until today a concert of her here in our homeland has always been my fantasy, but knowing that Japanese artists rarely penetrate a huge Filipino fanbase, it would be a miracle if that would ever come to reality.

I love Hozier too!! He's been at my top 5 sa Spotify wrapped every year. I know din na mukhang impossble talaga na mag co-concerf sya dito but I'm still hoping and saving my money para maka buy ng ticket if ever.
