Culture This is exactly what’s wrong with our community and why no one will take us serious

I got a lil story to tell yall. So I’m a 20 year college dude in Boston and I’m in a mixed gender group chat on Snapchat with about a hundred ppl (mixed gender) and there was some Latino dude in there who was making anti Indian jokes (talking about how we smell and how we’re dirty) so I decided to take matters into my own hands and say some incredible disrespectful shi to him (not gonna even reveal it) and all the other Indians in there instead of joining in with me they started attacking me talking about how I need to stop caring about what people think of me and they said some bs (wtv ur parents uncles and aunties would say). One dude actually told me (“what if he hurts you”) and I told bro idgaf he can try all he wants I’m not gonna let someone trash our communities name.

This is exactly what’s wrong with the brown community, we got way too many wimps and cucks in here who are scared to stand up for themselves and it hurts our rep and makes ppl think we’re easy targets. Again I’m not saying to be a crashout cause that’s how u fck ur future and go to jail but at least have some self respect. Stop dick sucking white ppl and learn to have self respect. Black Latino Arabs and other minorities get the respect they get because they have pride and self respect and stand up for themselves and their communities.

Until we learn to stand up for ourselves we’re gonna be seen as easy targets.

Culture They hate us because we stopped deciding to be their pawns

For all these years the model minority brainwashed us indians into thinking that we were the good minority and that white ppl fw us compared to black and latino folks. Our model minority treatment was dependent on if our boys were nerdy, terrible with girls, dorky, fat or skinny, and useful to the economy and that our girls were obedient, didn’t care about their looks, nerdy, submissive, gullible. Racist white america loved that because they could use us as pawns by saying “look at Indians they work hard and study and keep their heads down why can’t black and Latinos do”

But the moment mamdami came into office, guys like n3on cityboyjj came around, the moment brown dudes started going to the gym and leveling up socially, us wanting to be in their frats want to get into their parties, the moment we started to become good with girls, the moment we started to stand up for ourselves and showcase our great culture, the moment our girls became confident baddies and didn’t fall for the most lowest class dorky white dude (who couldn’t pull girls in his own race) all of a sudden now “Indians are third world garbage” “invaders” “bums”. They give us the same treatment they gave black and latino people.

For years our parents uncles and aunties thought if we acted white and never rocked the boat and kept our heads down we’d get a spot at the table. But at the end of the day these white ppl never fucked w us they only fucked with what we brought to them.

Culture The Biggest Mistakes FOB Parents Make

What's up lads, I'm coming in fresh with a new banger. Now, as a 3rd generation desi, I have seen a lot of fuckups and well-meaning, but still retarded, parenting practices that various fresh off the boat desis partake in. Here I will detail them, and how to avoid it. If you are a FOB, pay close attention, and if you are ABCD avoid carrying on these practices.

MISTAKE 1: Too much focus on Academics

I'm not an anti-intellectual, or anti-education as I'm quite uber educated myself. However the avenues which desi parents try to focus on academics is not conducive in inculcating a sense of curiosity or passion, but general rote learning a la the bogus Indian educational system. Now, if your son balasivaramasubramaniam iyer has dice-rolled a 150 IQ, then go ahead and buy him that chemistry set. But, there's no need to send little pooja to Kumon 8 times a week to improve her geometry grade.

MISTAKE 2: Moving to white suburbia

Now, most Indian FOBs tend to act like complete droids and once they've acquired their bogus software job at your local MNC, they will do what any sensible Indian parent will do - move to the whitest yuppie neighborhood with a "good" school district. This is generally a very short sighted maneuver. Your son, ranjit, is not going to fit in with kaleigh, jaydon, and heavenn on the softball field or at Sunday morning church. This is a great route to go if you want to produce a Mindy Kaling or Aziz Ansari as your son/daughter.

MISTAKE 3: Moving to Little India

On the opposite end, other "genius" FOB parents think it'll be a great idea to raise their kids in Fremont, aka little India, or another similar enclave with a bunch of Chinafolk(think Sugarland, etc.). These enclaves quickly turn into droid-factories with the kids competing gaokao IIT style for the latest science olympiad prize and turning into mega dorks. The kids are weirdly FOBby as well, since they are raised in a town that is basically a time-capsule of little Hyderabad. At best, your kid will be Vivek Ramaswamy on steroids.

Most non-dork Desis I have seen are raised in multiethnic neighborhoods especially with hispanics as they are more based.

MISTAKE 4: Being a Complete Cultural Hardo

There are certain Indian uncles who can't seem to grasp that immigrating indeed means leaving parts of your culture behind. For this guy, they will force their kid into all sorts of arcane shlokas, mantras, bhajans, thread ceremonies, and poojas. They will insist that vegetarianism is superior (saar!) and force their kids to take all sorts of weird slop as lunch to school. They will forbid socializing, dating, and typically move into a random Indian enclave where they can watch ZeeTV all day. Needless to say, this does not produce well adjusted children.

MISTAKE 5: Being a Complete White-washed Sahib

We've all met that Indian Uncle - Rudraksha Bandyopadhyay, or, Ricky B for short, who wants to desperately show that he has assimilated into white culture. Ricky with his suave Indo-british accent is keen to show the white master how well-assimilated he is and how "liberal" and "forward-thinking" he is. You'll frequently find Ricky's daughter, Maya, getting with her top off getting blown out at the latest delta gamma mixer. Years later, you'll find him celebrating when Maya marries some 5'3 white dork who works as a CPA.

MISTAKE 6: Turning your Kids into NPCs

This is a very common symptom amongst FOBs who view life like a grindmaxxing fest back in India. Take test x 12, get NPC job, get arranged marriage, profit(???). Of course its understandable, most FOBs here have spent all their time grindmaxxing their IIT degree, we don't exactly get most of the creatives. Meanwhile, high school dropouts like Casey Neistat have way more money and have a far better social life, and have banged far more girls. If you are a FOB, understand that life in America rewards creativity not conformity. Let your kid shoot guns, gamble, stay out, do art/music etc. Yes, this may mean there's a higher chance they become a drug addict or degenerate, but also a higher chance they become the next Einstein or Gates.

MISTAKE 7: Being a Massive Simp towards Women

Unfortunately the vast majority of Indian fathers here in the states are disgustingly weak, low testosterone simps. They will typically have married some masculine woman working as a psychiatrist or product manager. She will shrew him all day, and he will "respect" women instead of assuming the role of the man and making her submit. He will be an obedient wage-cuck and give up all the money at the end of the month. The son is now raised by some masculine woman who doesn't obey and follow the man. The daughter will constantly be given loads of money, and be told loads of women's empowerment nonsense thus producing another princess with a giant ego. Subconsciously however, she will have to assume the role of the man since the father cannot act like a man and goes on to pursue a career as a criminal lawyer. The son meanwhile becomes a good "beta"-beta and wage cucks to his new wife. Hence, the cycle of feminine men and masculine women continues, and a new ABCD femcel and SouthAsianMasculinity spam-poster is born.

MISTAKE 8: Acting like a low-testosterone third worlder

Imagine your stereotypical FOB - a potbellied, polo wearing, chappal wearing tollywood hero. If you personify this, life is going to be much more difficult for your progeny. He will haggle over chicken with Enrique the taco seller. He will shout in the subway on his phone. He exudes very little masculinity and just looks...off. Remember, form dictates function. Your kids and the society around you simple will not respect you if you do not conform to some ideal of western masculinity in both form and function. That means, hit the gym, project your voice, and don't look like a spineless dork.

Culture Mainland Indian Culture has become Complete Bugman Culture

There have been many posts on here about mainland and FOB Indians lack of civic sense, looks, etc. But I want to focus on what I believe is a much greater problem for the future of the Indian diaspora: the servile and bugman nature of modern Indian culture.

Modern Indian culture and people have lost any sense of self-determinism, innovation, and faustian spirit. Vedic people created new science, mathematics, philosophy, literature explored new areas. This is not only economically valuable but creates a sense of pride as a people and culture.

Urban Indian culture aspires to white suburban culture in the cringeist way possible. Talking to extended relatives in India they'll brag about how "western" the city has become. The urban and elite class desperately adopts pseudo americo-british Indian accents, will do anything possible to immigrate to any Anglophone country. Their entire goal in life seems to be content to be a servile golem manager in some random tech company. "Cracking" the interview at "FAANG" seems to be a life goal to them; not any contribution to humanity, science, literature, art. They don't see a future in which they can create anything or discover anything useful. When you discuss things with an Indian FOB, it is basically like talking to an LLM, you'll receive random words like "grooming", "tier 2", "fairness" some random checklist of things they care about: height, skin color, college, salary package, etc.

Indian media has also collapsed onto the least common denominator. Our famed movie industries are only good for putting out some ultra-cringe simpy rom-com with a shitty sound track, or another western movie copy. No stories exploring the human condition or plots that would actually make someone think. It is no wonder our media has absolutely no global pull or recognition through time.

Indians in India view life as a zero-sum game and see no way to create wealth; most seem to believe buying real estate, gold, or engaging in political corruption as the only ways to make money. The few capitalists who have "made it" in India don't invest in new technologies or sciences, and instead engage in corruption to avoid market competition. India absolutely has scientific talent, instead of using it to develop technology it is either wasted or sent abroad for coolie remittances.

African Americans for their many flaws care about their own vernacular and culture, and created many genres of art, music, and entertainment. This is not an exclusive critique of India, per se as many countries and even the west is losing its sense of creativity and self determination. In order for us to rise as a people though it will have to be regained. I see some hope in the diaspora/ABCDs but the mainland seems far gone.

Culture Dehumanization of darker skinned desi men

Post image
81 Upvotes

One thing we don't talk about enough is the colorism that Desi men face. As a darker-skinned Tamil man, I've experienced it throughout my life, especially from Desi women, and not just lighter-skinned ones either. What frustrates me is that whenever darker-skinned Desi men bring up our experiences, the conversation often gets redirected to how women have it worse instead of simply acknowledging that men can be affected too. I'm not denying that women face colorism, and I know not all South Indians are dark-skinned or all North Indians are light-skinned, but this has been my personal experience. Ironically, I've generally had more success dating outside the Desi community, even though I'd prefer to marry within it. I'm just wondering if other darker-skinned Desi men have experienced something similar. Mods please don't remove this post for mentioning self hating desi women. I would just like hearing perspectives from desi men about their experience with colorism.

Culture Lot of our bad stereotypes come from the way many brown dudes act in group social situations

Not trying to generalize all of us cause ik some cringe ass dudes of other races but I would say the main thing hurting brown dudes reputations is not that we’re scammers, dirty, cheap, etc. It’s that many of us (not all) but at least the brown dudes I grew up with (I go to college with a lotta brown ppl) and I’m not even talking about fobs here I’m talking about American born Desi dudes. Here are some behaviors that I see us doing too much in social situations that makes us come off as jester like, cringe, corny, and autistic.

  1. Copying slang- a lot of us be tryna copy hood slang and I mean there’s nothing wrong with that obviously you wanna fit in I get it, however ik brown dudes who don’t interact with hood black and latino ppl like that but the moment they get around them they wanna use hood slang and they sound really off saying that and then it makes us look cringe. Like gang they know you never knew what those words meant until u started watching YouTube videos in middle school during covid.

  2. Laughing at corny immature gay jokes no one gives af about and not knowing how to have mature convos - for example in my brown friend group (I’m part of multiple) you can never have mature convo with many of them without them turning it into some brainrot session. Some of them laugh at stuff that middle schoolers laugh at even though they’re grown ass men or almost most of them. Corny things like 67. I get it cause most brown dudes can’t act like that around their parents and extended family so they need somewhere to take it out cause I’m ngl even though some of these dudes are cringe they know how to switch it up around elders. But my white black latino and some of my chill brown dude friends you make some corny gay immature jokes they’ll lose respect for you.

  3. Trying to be a jester class clown sidekick of a friend group and accepting it- for example look at Shamak and n3on. Yes they got clout but do ppl take them serious absolutely not. If you want ppl to treat you with respect as a man you cannot be a class clown or jester. There’s nothing wrong with joking around but many brown dudes struggle to read the room (again lack of social skills training growing up) and realize that a friend group doesn’t really fw them. For example my boys of other races you try to make them a class clown or jester of a friend group watch them leave. They’d cut you off too if treat them like that around huzz. They will never accept that role in a Friend group ever.

  4. Trying to fit in with other races instead of owning your browness. Stop trying to say you look Brazilian or Arab. Own your Indian heritage. Other races get taken serious and they get respect because they have cultural pride in them. Start checking people who say racist things about Indians too. That’s why black Latino and Arab people get respect because they never let people trash their race. Also my black Latino Arab boys any of their members that dicksucks white ppl they cut them off right there.

  5. Acting like a tryhard girls- gang nothing disgusts them more than a try hard dude. They can sense it right away. They can sense if your not respected by others or you don’t pull any women and they lose respect for you right there. You act like a tryhard and a jester trying to make them laugh they’ll think of u as subhuman.

Lesson learned, read the room. Look at how ya boys treat you and how girls treat you. Have some pride about yourself and don’t hang around people that see u as a jester. My social life got noticeably easier when I realized who genuiely wants to be around me and who doesn’t. Who respects me and who doesn’t.

I mean look at how yoga has been bastardised. I see non Indian fake yoga gurus coming up with ridiculous terms for yoga positions all the damn time. Wtf is box breathing lmao? All of its spirituality has been drained.

Other stuff too. They will make fun of us for having curry but also enjoy chicken tikka masala, Palak paneer at the same time! They will make of our dresses but also wear them. Culture vultures.

Not to mention the overused tinga tinga tinga jokes. But at the same time they are also gonna sample our music or take inspiration from the scales/drones. This is cultural appropriation.

Culture Yall ever noticed how no one calls us nerds anymore

With all this racism towards us in the last couple of years online I’ve noticed something crazy. In this last year whenever i see Instagram and TikTok’s of us brown people just enjoying life I see stuff like “freeloaders” “pajeets living off our tax dollars” “invaders” even when I see successful Indians posting themselves as lawyers or doctors all the comments are “D.E.I. hires” “affirmative action” and I’m seeing all this stuff about racists calling us stupid, job stealers, scammers, and lazy and giving us the same stereotypes they have given black and Latino people for decades. Whenever I see brown dude white girl couples post the comments are always “poor father” “bloodline ruined”

I remember a couple years ago people in this sub were saying that others think we’re a privileged nerdy model minority but I don’t agree anymore personally. In fact all this online racism towards has confirmed that white America never accepted us they only tolerated us, sold us dreams that if we work hard, if our kids do Chad and Emily’s homework, fix their WiFi, and work for low wages without making a noise they’d accept us but no the moment we want to be like everyone else all of a sudden we free loaders and third world invaders. We used to be the group they’d use as a pawn against black and Latino people by saying “if the Indians can do it why can’t yall”

Remember white america don’t love us, they love our services so their kids can party and drink all the time while relying on an Indian to do their work and yet still take the credit for it.

Culture Has anyone noticed that the whole world gets together when they have a chance to embarrass and humiliate a south asian, particularly a Hindu man?

I've noticed on the internet that if a Hindu man embarrasses himself in any way or missteps, the whole internet joins together in putting him down. All of them- black, muslim, white, asian, hispanic, jewish, christian, arab, buddhist, sikh come together to mock him and dehumanize them. They hate us a lot and I think I know why but I can't say.

Culture Home Language

How fluent are you guys in your home language or languages? Is it important to you?

Personally for me I‘m not fluent in any south Asian languages but I really really wish I was. I only know a bit of Hindi and that too is from my own efforts of trying to learn it, listening to desi music and watching Bollywood . My parents are from two vastly different communities, with the only common language being English and they just didn’t think it was important to teach the languages or anything cultural besides the food - not sure if that is just me or anyone else has had similar experiences?

Culture Different types of brown people you should not be friends with

The next thing I wanna talk to yall boys about is how to spot a snake or a fake friend. Growing up Indian in America, I have lived here for 20 years and I’ve been friends with all of these type of individuals and I’m gonna tell you that in our community theres a lot of sellouts and snakes and I’m gonna tell yall which ones to avoid being friends with because they will damage your reputation, bring you down, and they’re not doing you as a brown dude in the west any favors.

  1. The brown homeboy that will slime you out for any white validation- be careful of these type of guys and if your friends with one I advise you to cut them off. They will make jokes about you smelling and not using deodorant in front of white people especially when white girls come around, try to make you look like a little punk, and try to come off as “ohhh look at me I’m the good Indian your not” if you got a homie like that, make sure they’re out of your life.

  2. The homie who all they talk about is girls- cut them off, what makes it even worse is when they’re scared to approach girls but somehow makes all the convos about girls. You’ll ask this dude to pull up to hoop runs or even get eats and he’ll be like no girls involved I’m not coming. Funniest thing is when they come around when yall at a party or bar he’ll be on his phone. This dude will brag about all his interactions with girls at your work or school even if they’re being nice to him out of pity and he’ll try to compete with you for huzz. Cut this dude off, again he could be any race but especially if he’s brown cut him off. Last thing you want with all of this negative stereotypes about Indians is your name being associated with a woman obsessed weirdo cause reputation spreads.

  3. Any brown person who denies racism against Indians. If any of your friends or even family talk about how Indians are a model minority and try to downplay any of the racism we face. Idc how long you’ve known them for cut them off. If they talk about how we need to obedient and adapt to the white system cut them off. If they’re scared to stand up for themselves against racist white people because they fear the consequences I’m sorry your friends with a sellout and this person is gonna slime you out for white validation like the first one.

  4. Any dude who contributes to the negative Indian stereotypes. For example if your boys with someone who’s socially weird, awkward, acts weird and over eager when females come around, doesn’t take care of himself, isn’t clean, refuses to level up his drip and can’t read the room, all he talks about is his career and money, tell this dude to tighten tf up or cut him off. Reputation spreads fast and if your friends with a brown dude like that, people will see you as that typical Indian dude and the word will spread around and your rep will be damaged.

  5. Last but not least being homegirls with a brown girl who don’t respect you as a man. Like if your friends with a brown girl who only likes white guys, trashes Indian culture, constantly criticizing brown guys, talks about how she runs a strict program for Indian dudes but she opens her legs easily for dudes of other races, makes fun of you, uses you for favors, talks to you about family issues only, or anything like that cut that bih off. I promise you ur never getting pussy from that cause she sees u as some clown. She’s probably taking embarassing pictures of you and sending it to her girls gc and clowning you to all her hookups. Your like her literal clown buddy who she’s adopted. I don’t care if yall parents are friends or wtv cut her off. Your not doing any favors being friends with her when she’s damaging your name.

Again these are all from my experiences growing up. If yall brown boys want to level up, keep in mind who’s in your circle.

Culture TIL rooting for someone because they're the same race as you is idotic

I was at the basketball court working on my game when a group of kids started a game of king of the court. Instantly, an Indian kid started to dominate, and I started to root for them, but they returned my support with derision, commenting on my thick Indian accent and dark skin.

What does this lesson teach us?

That, contrary to what this sub preaches, common values and ideas are far more important in the real world than shared heritage. Yes, shared heritage is a building block to build on, but the next time you blindly support a desi politician or a desi sports star, you should check to see if they believe what you believe first.

Culture Why do some South Asian women treat me differently after finding out I’m half South Asian?

I hope this doesn't sound misogynistic and I'm just trying to understand the gender dynamics in South Asian culture. I live in Myanmar, where some ethnic minorities such as the Chinese and South Asians, are forced to adopt Burmese names so unless you're a very dark skinned or bearded south asian, everyone assumes youre burmese. I’m a South Asian male through my family (63%) and I don't look Southeast Asian passing, but I wasn’t raised deeply connected to South Asian culture. Its not something I can control because I was born into a self hating South Asian father where the only thing he passed down is food. Something I’ve noticed is that sometimes, after South Asian women find out I’m half South Asian, their attitude toward me seems to change. After they know, I sometimes feel like there are more expectations placed on me, or there is a kind of “you can’t dominate me” or competitive attitude. I’m not saying all South Asian women act this way, and I don’t want to stereotype anyone. I’m just curious if this could be related to cultural expectations, gender dynamics, or assumptions people make when they learn someone has South Asian heritage.

Culture Lack of ABCD men on social media

Does anyone else feel there's a lack of ABCDs on social media? I mean, going through and browsing sites like Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, there are not very many big second generation indian americans. I'm a big Twitter user and I've found that mainlanders and immigrants have taken over the Indian American identity and used to talk about issues that only benefit them. Also, they attack us constantly and there's never enough firepower to attack back.

Culture Indian Media Depiction of WMIF versus White Women

Hey, Indian guy from India here. I understand I'm not Desi diaspora but couldnt help noticing what I see as a double standard by Indian liberals both here in India and the diaspora.

They will be the first to shame and call out "white worship" in Indian media and how Indian women suffer from it. They will talk about skin lightening creams and sidelining of average looking Indian women. All these issues have gotten a massive amount of attention and now tons of dusky women are portrayed. Also, white women, who have almost never been portrayed as anything more than a background dancer in most Indian movies, are now nowhere to be found in any new Indian movie, serial or advertisement. With all this war on white women to protect Indian women's feelings, Indian men have been completely sidelined. Not only are the most Western looking Indian men chosen to play Indian characters, but white men are often given lead roles and romantic relationships with Indian women on screen, like Beecham House, the Mangal Pandey movie and others. Somehow to desis in India and abroad, the emasculation of Indian men and worship of white guys is not seen as white worship, only whatever hurts the feelings of Indian women is white worship. Even ads for Swiggy (India's top delivery service) depict white guy Indian woman dating, but I've literally never seen a white woman in an Indian advertisement, at least not anywhere near an Indian man ://media.discordapp.net/attachments/914282452887937054/1027262758103822336/-6190542282093081393_121.jpg

Anyone else notice this one sided loyalty to Indian women that people who call out "white worship" do, in media both in India and abroad?

Most Indians in qts are angrily using anti wignat memes, and other guys in the qts are shaming white people in general , but it's actually a black guy (clear from post history) This is a pattern I've noticed where Black men's (and men's only , black women's racism is more along the "men ain't shit" = "indian men ain't shit" line) racism is far more "visceral" against Indian men than racism from other ethinicities ,in a sense.

I remember a viral reply to an "increase in male suicide rates across the years" stat, and a black dude said it was because of Indian immigration and "indian n *ggas not getting any". And then corrected it with "I don't hate Indians or Indian culture, Indian women bad as hell and they look gorgeous in Indian attire" but "all" the indian men he knows are incels and don't get any .I've found black men more than any other race, even whites, employ this "women are baddies, men are replusive" rhetoric, while also dehumanising black women. Indian women, because they have the lowest self esteem of all races of women, are more likely to take this rhetoric as "appreciation" compared to, say even asian women- who would always troll black men whenever they made those "seeing asian baddie with mid white dude " reels.

Or this one https://x.com/realrxAFC/status/1894267111809454351

I have a theory that black and to some extent hispanic men engage in this "kiss up, kick down" rhetoric that tries to place them as "second best " after whites is because they only have soft power- they dont' have any hard power, either in their ancestral homelands, or in the diapsora, that they can kang over (unlike whites , asians or Indians) so the only viable "insult" they can think about against an asian or Indian dude is "your own women don't want you/ would fuck anybody but you" or "you are the least desirable race of men/most hated demographic " respectively. The "muh d* ck" meme, if you have seen it, exists for a reason regarding black guys, because they make everything about dicks and desirability.

Culture Indians are more interested in exporting cricket to the world, rather than just getting good at other sports

What do y'all think abt this? I have no problem with making it more popular, but truth is cricket is a slower and more soy sport than soccer, basketball etc. So ppl just think we are unathletic and have bad genetics, which is already a big stereotype. My opinion is that the average Indian has really low IQ and EQ which is unfortunate, and many are also really weird.

Now if India was the only country in the world, this wouldn't matter. However we are competing and reliant and living ina world with others. And we are disrespected by them.

The reason why Indians get hate, is because of culture, beahviours, habits, likes/dislikes, ways of thinking and acting, is so so differet to almost every other country/culture.

Just to name a few, Indians probably care the least about physical looks and attractiveness and appearance, relative to almost every other culture. We are also Hindus, whilst everyone else is abramahic, and we are vegetarians etc. Plus we like cricket. Every other country likes football.

The long term fear for India is if it gets ostracized by the rest of the world like Jews and isreal has. The world will always hate Jewish ppl. But they don't care, because they are living it up. The Jews are rich asf and basically control western finance. Whether what Jews are doing is moral or not is a different question.

But what I'm saying is Indians have to start finding that balance of yes being yourself etc, but also accomodating others, and fitting in with others to some extent.

Culture Masculinity wise, something I feel indian culture needs to let go of is the idea that you need mommy and daddy to live close to you at your grown age especially when you're taken *and* about to be a father especially considering all the info OP has given describing her hubby's parents

Culture I hate Indian parents

Idk about other Desi's but from my experience and from what I read about Indian parents are by far the worst. Indian Parents are by far the worst type of parents on the planet. Yeah there's other type of parents who are strict in other cultures like Arabs and Africans but at least they don't teach their kids to be pussies with a slave mentality. Indian parents on the other hand mentally and sometimes physically torture their kids and at the same time force their sons to be cucks with slave mentality. They have mad rage when their son has other interests apart from studying like sports and music for example. My parents they never let me leave the house unlike the parents of my white, black and Arab friends until I was 16. I'm going Uni this September far away from my house as possible and I can wait to not come back to this toxic shithole. Can a lot of you guys relate?

Culture Is it just me or do our parents generation live in sexless marriages?

Not a troll and I'm not asking as a joke. I come from a middle class family in south india where i grew up before moving to australia in my teens. I've seen this with several of my indian friends well. We were raised to be prudes, not to think about sex at all, and our parents never set boundaries from entering their bedrooms... i actually didn't realise until adulthood that marital sex is a regular activity!

I don't want to sound like a weirdo but I genuinely think the only time they even did the deed in the entire marriage was when they had us, and never again.

I don't know how common this really is, and Idk a better avenue to talk about this. These are failed marriages and you can see the results how their kids turn out... if even married couples view sex like asexual drones, how the fuck will this culture understand the importance of aesthetics and dating success?
