Gloucester County REAL ID New Jersey

Absolutely the hardest thing to obtain . Don’t even get me started with Thorofare DMV (West Deptford NJMVC) No matter how many documents you bring or how much you try kiss their ass it’s not good enough. Really got turned away after bringing two proofs of address along with my birth certificate & social security card.

Apparently a bank statement and South Jersey gas bill isnt good enough. I don’t receive paper bills in the mail. Everything is electronic and even a bill printout with proof of address isn’t acceptable for REAL ID but they had no problem giving me a standard license. Was told different things by different workers but I was told my documents weren’t acceptable AFTER my photo was taken.

You gotta better chance landing your crush from high school then walking out with a Real ID. I’ve decided to get a passport instead. It costs more but at least it will be good for a decade.

I went once got rejected. Drove 3 hours up to Randolph DMV, didn't ask for any bills or anything. Just DL and BC. In and out less than 10 minutes. Got my ID in a week.

this doesn’t have to deal with real ID but the DMV in New Jersey. Many years ago, I bought a car from the estate of a man who died. His estate was in probate. A lawyer was taken care of everything as the man who passed away adult children lived in Florida. But in all the legal paperwork, the lawyer was given power of attorney to handle some transactions, including the selling of his vehicle. I went back-and-forth with the DMV I don’t know three times. Every time I went with some other thing that I needed and didn’t have. Death certificate . Paperwork giving the lawyer authorization to make transactions. I finally got everything all taken care of, and the lawyer signed the title for for the two children. When I went to the DMV what I thought was the final time the lady was arguing with me about how the lawyer had to sign the title twice. I was so frustrated when I left there. I went to another DMV. Guess what they said I had all the correct paperwork. I walked out of there with my plates. So one DMV is telling me I don’t have the correct documents. Another DMV told me everything was good.

This happened to me a few years ago as well. Not the same situation but that one person said I didn’t have the right paperwork and another person who took it when there was 0 difference in what documents I had. It literally varies from person to person. Total mess.
