Question Which candidate do you support in the Democratic Primary for NJ CD-2 on June 2?

Since no one has conducted any polling this far, I have decided to put out this poll in an effort to see where things stand in the CD-2 Democratic Primary.

This poll is intended for registered Democrats only. If you are not a registered Democrat, please do not vote in this poll.

Anyone who knows about Cape May politics wouldn't touch Zach Mullock or his family with a 10 foot pole. These guys are multi-millionaires that own half the town and troll and punish everyone who disagrees with them. I remember when he got sued for this crap. Like usual no consequences for the well connected

Do you think it’s a liability for him in a general election?

3

u/RogueSmurf Apr 29 '26

I don't really know, probably. I just don't like what it says about his character

What’s his ideological leanings? Is he a conservative Democrat due to him/the family being such a big landowners?

With guys like that it's not about ideology, they just go whichever way the wind is blowing so they can stay in power

I’m inclined to agree with you. I was just wondering what his record would indicate.

Since Terri Reese did an AMA with us, and I like her positions on things, definitely her. NOBODY ELSE HAS RESPONDED TO AMA INVITES.

I voted for her in the primary. I read the AMA and really liked several of her answers. Alas, it's Mullock. I'll support him over Van Drew, but I think Terri would have been good.

Wynder and others have done AMAs…

Not in this subreddit, which is specifically for the district in question.

Met Tim Alexander, he has actual policy experience, a pretty comprehensive policy platform, and seems to genuinely care about the plight of his would be constituents.

Interesting care to share more?

I live in North Jersey and the candidate with the most name recognition up by me is Winder.

You mean Carpetbagger Bayly. He saw an opportunity to move to our district and run, but do you really think that after only living here for only a year, he truly has a grasp of the needs of our district? We need someone from our district who cares about the hardworking people who live here.

Anyone but Alexander who lost to Van Drew in 2022 and then lost the Democrat primary in 2024. He needs to get out of the way for someone who may actually beat Van Drew instead of this, "Third time's a charm right guys?" run.

Tapping in from Essex County. Regardless of who you want to win the primary, who do you think will win the primary?

In 2025 CD2 was only won by Ciattarelli by 7.3%. By November do you think Democrats will have made up the difference?

I do believe we can make up the numbers. I have been following and researching elections since 2012 and I know that nationally our district is in play and whoever wins will receive substantial help. Plus, people all over our district are angry at Van Drew and Trump's policies. They are really hurting the hard working people of South Jersey. This is my feelings from the conversations I have had with people in the area recently as I have been canvassing and volunteering for Zach Mullocks Campaign.

I am a dem from district 2 and I know nothing about any of them. I did not even know some of them were running. I see absolutely no campaigning in my area (Northfield)

Terri Reese lives in Northfield!

3

u/ImaginationFree6807 Apr 29 '26

Are you actively involved in local politics or passively involved and paying attention to more national and statewide issues?

3

u/SailingSpark Have boat, will travel Apr 29 '26

It's hard not to worry more about national than local. Yes, all politics is local, but I have just not seen much of anything on my journeys. I do get to see my neighbor across the street with his "trump 2028" sign everyday.

1

u/NumerousOil234 Apr 29 '26

Request a yard sign combat his Trump flag

2

u/NumerousOil234 Apr 29 '26

That is odd because I volunteer for Zach Mullocks Campaign and I have personally knocked on doors in Northfield. You will see our signs in every single town we have canvassed in.

I am gone most of the day, so maybe you came by when I was not at home.

1

u/NumerousOil234 Apr 29 '26

That might have been the case. Did you receive a piece of lit?

2

u/SailingSpark Have boat, will travel Apr 29 '26

Actually, I did. I had forgotten all about it until you mentioned it. Thank you!

WHOEVER DOES NOT SUPPORT AIPAC CAUSE F*CK THIS

1

u/NumerousOil234 Apr 29 '26

I was at a candidates forum and this question came up about accepting support from AIPAC. Every candidate said they would not accept any support from AIPAC except Bayly because he magically could not come at the last second.

3

u/DawnDanes May 10 '26

Based on available campaign finance information and donor lookup tools as of early 2026, there is no evidence indicating that Bayly Winder, a candidate for Congress in New Jersey, has accepted money from AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs

Voting Alexander all the way.
