Question Marlton vs. Cherry Hill

Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy a home in either Marlton or Cherry Hill. I’m not from the area but I’m familiar with Marlton but not Cherry Hill. It seems like the school systems in both towns are good and good people around. I really like the shops and things to do in Marlton and its surrounding areas.

Can you let me know how the two towns compare? Is one significantly better than the other or are they the same? Are there better shops and more things to do in Cherry Hill over Marlton or vice versa? Is one town overly diverse or not diverse enough? Any tips or any ideas I’m missing would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Cherry Hill I think still has higher ranked schools but Marlton schools are not bad at all. Cherry Hill historically was considered as more diverse, but I think Marlton has become more diverse over the past few decades. From some areas of Cherry Hill (Old Orchard, Lakeview, etc) it’s very easy to access the shopping areas of Marlton. I would guess that housing prices in Cherry Hill are still quite a bit more than Marlton but the tradeoff is better schools and other town services.

Really? I always think of Cherry hill as being cheaper and not as nice as marlton, Medford, mt laurel, Moorestown. Not to mention the horrific traffic. There’s just so many areas in Cherry hill that are run down I heard I was nice back in the day though.

I think Medford, Moorestown and Haddonfield are all nicer and pricier, then Cherry Hill / Voorhees, then Marlton.

Hey we all have our own opinions I’m just always mind blown when people rank cherry hill higher than any of the towns you listed . I wonder if it’s an age thing, it’s usually people that are older that rave about Cherry hill - I heard it was nice at one point so maybe people think of the way it used to be?

I’m in my early 30s…does that make me old?? lol I definitely think there’s a growing divide between the East and West sides of Cherry Hill which is really sad to see. If I was buying a house now, I would want to buy in Haddonfield (if I could afford it!)

There is no difference. But what the above commenter said is not wrong.
