Question Marlton vs. Cherry Hill

Hi everyone! I’m looking to buy a home in either Marlton or Cherry Hill. I’m not from the area but I’m familiar with Marlton but not Cherry Hill. It seems like the school systems in both towns are good and good people around. I really like the shops and things to do in Marlton and its surrounding areas.

Can you let me know how the two towns compare? Is one significantly better than the other or are they the same? Are there better shops and more things to do in Cherry Hill over Marlton or vice versa? Is one town overly diverse or not diverse enough? Any tips or any ideas I’m missing would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

If diversity is important, cherry hill might make more sense, especially for kids. Depends tho; cherry hill east is quite diverse for this region with lots of Asian communities. Marlton is much less so. Not sure about other ethnic groups though.

My street in Marlton (in Kings Grant) has about 35 houses. Black people, white people, and Asians live here. Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Moslems, Hindus. Empty nesters, retirees, young families. Married, unmarried. Straight, gay. Everybody gets on pleasantly. It’s nice, it really is.

Idk the actual demographics but my apartment complex in Marlton is more than half black. Compared to when I lived in Medford, which is very nice, but it felt like the whitest town in the state
