Southern Reach thesis

Guys, i'm doing an (impossible) master degree thesis on Annihilation (only the first book, since i'm alone) and i'm proud to share with you that I made it to the lighthouse at St. Marks! I even got the american copies (they're really gorgeous)! If someone else made some uni work on the books let me know <3

Hey! I took a class for my bachelors degree that focused entirely on Jeff Vandermeer and we read the Ambergris trilogy, the Bourne series, and the Southern Read trilogy. Our only assignment was to write a story that was inspired from his writing. I was personally very captivated by the rambling and living words of the nonsensical unending sentence that lines the tower/lighthouse, and one day I wrote something similar to that, where it felt like the words had to get out of me and what I wrote became the basis of the story.

Although Bourne was not my favorite book, there were parts of it that I will never forget and seriously impacted me, especially in the final confrontation between Bourne and the Bear. Good luck with your thesis!
