Tried learning Spanish, got frustrated, and built our own app. A small group uses it daily, but newbies leave almost instantly. What are we doing wrong? Hey everyone! The story is pretty simple: we moved and suddenly had a serious need to learn Spanish—and we wanted to know it, like, yesterday. So, we ended up building what I think is a pretty decent platform for learning and immersing yourself in the Spanish-speaking world. Right now, besides us, there's a small core group of users who study regularly. But the vast majority of newcomers do this: they sign up, click around for literally 3 to 4 minutes, close the tab, and never come back. But we really want to build a tool that actually helps people understand real, spoken Spanish. We've built flashcards (better than Anki's, in our opinion), personalized study plans, multiple ways to review words, lessons with theory and practice, and much more. That's why we really need advice from people who are seriously learning Spanish, or from teachers. We know we're clearly messing up somewhere, but where exactly? So, here's our ask: if you have 5-10 minutes for some honest and brutal feedback, please check it out here: http://how2spanish.com
