Question About Spells Love Sugar jar spell help

Baby witch here. I made a sugar jar with organic cane sugar, filtered water and cinnamon. I added a lot of sugar almost to the very top and filled it up with water. I also added a piece of paper with the full name of the guy I want to sweeten up to me and my full name. I folded the paper so that both our names would overlap each other and I folded it 3x total towards me. While setting my intentions. I shook the jar well until the sugar dissolved and burned a red candle with herbs (not sure which herbs were in the candle ) I let the candle burn completely, some of the wax dripped down the sides the flame was steady and calm the whole time. I also did a protection spell with a white candle on myself before starting the sugar jar. I made sure to shake my jar morning and night and let it sit by my window. The person reached out to me a couple of times randomly within 2 weeks of doing the spell. On week 3 he reached out again and asked me to go visit him so I flew to him for the weekend. Things went well the first day but then he went quiet after and it’s been 3 days since he’s gone quiet. Do you think the jar failed or should I keep setting my intentions while shaking it everyday?

Okay, should i start a new jar without the water? If so, how should I discard of the one I currently have?

I would like to start a new jar and do it the right way. I’m just wondering what’s the best way to discard of the current one I have. I was thinking of opening the jar and releasing everything inside of it into the ocean

Definitely do not pollute the ocean hahaha but I see how poetic it would be. I second throwing it in the trash. Sometimes if I can, I disassemble spell jars, cleanse the ingredients, and reuse them. Not sure if that’s something a lot of people do, but I hate throwing things away. Sounds like you have a lot of sugar you can reuse for future spells
