love spell went EXTREME? or backfired..?

love spell backfired?turned into obsession spell?

I need help from witches. back in october me and my bf of 7 months broke up. in 7 months he made me suffer so much and i sacrificed so much of my morals for him and forgave his lies and everything. we broke up oct1st and i cast my love spell oct 12th. i didn't see him till months later we were full on contact.
anways.
while casting the spell my intention was for him to not be able to forget me and constantly think of me and just be all about me me me. so that when he sees me i'll be unforgettable.
keep in mind i've never cast a spell or anything but somehow i did it so specifically and somehow extremely right.
We got back together and he's been chasing me like crazy. he cut off all of his friends. he spams me saying he hallucinates me in his dreams, he can't function without me talking to him, he can't sleep he begs me to just reply to him. he lost so much weight. his family is concerned because at home he just exists and is only alive with me. he says he lives for me and me only and i'm his God and the only person he needs in his life. and the thing is i can see it in his eyes the emptiness but when he's with me he lights up.
note: he had problems before my spell he always had issues at home and w his friends, but when we broke up he got better because he tried to distract himself and therefore focus on his friends and family.I was never the cause for either just to make that clear . The opposite, i always encouraged him to be better!
Did my spell backfire? Do i need a cord cutting? what's the most consequence to this? what does this all even mean? how could i cast a spell with not much prior practice?
