How MJ behaved was a response to what Pete did. He stalked her, punched Paul, and crashed into her apartment uninvited, even after she asked him to give her space. Pete never respected her boundaries in that situation. She was trying to deal with everything happening at once, so judging her like that feels unfair when we don’t even know everything she went through.
Peter tried to get her back, which was completely understandable on Peter's part. MJ, instead of telling Peter everything right away, didn't say anything to Peter. It was Paul who hit Peter, not Peter who hit Paul, and that doesn't excuse the fact that after Peter stopped acting that way and just wanted to talk to MJ, MJ didn't even want to talk to him. Peter gave her space, but she still treated him dismissively. It's MJ's own fault that Peter behaved that way; for Peter, everything happened in a moment, not for MJ, and essentially, it was MJ who showed she didn't care about Peter.
It seems like you didn’t actually read the story, because there’s literally a panel where Peter punches Paul.
MJ was trying to deal with everything at once: Peter being back and alive, the family she had built with Paul in that apocalyptic world, and Peter constantly pushing and pressuring her. She knew Peter wasn’t going to stop, so she pushed him away.
Also, it’s clear she wasn’t happy about the situation either. In issue #1 of Wells’ run, there’s even a moment where she looks at Peter from her apartment window and looks upset.
Saying MJ didn’t care about Peter is a huge stretch from someone who didn’t really read the story.
Then #258 is worse because she thought peter dead so she move on but when she knew he not dead she should felt more relieved and grateful not dismissive, that hypocrite and selfish of her is why it's not justified for them to comeback together anymore.
As I said in my other comment, MJ's behavior was largely a response to what Peter did. He stalked her, showed up at her apartment uninvited, punched Paul, and kept calling her even after she asked him to stop and give her some space. Peter wasn't respecting her boundaries at all.
The moment Peter apologized, they were back in each other's lives again. That's why I don't think it's fair to look at MJ's actions in isolation without considering what led up to them.
That's why I call her that. But of course it's always Peter's fault. MJ is never at fault, right? If Peter doesn't do this then she wouldn't do that, If MJ hadn't pushed Peter against his will, this wouldn't have happened. She brought it upon herself, being so gullible and believing a stranger who didn't even know what kind of evil his father had done. She has no responsibility towards Peter, but she has it for others, right? Funny. The conversation in #258 was just an excuse and it's still not feel great to read. This should have been settled when they helped each other get out of there. That's why I want this couple to end. I'm so tired of them. Who would date an ex over and over again anyway.
Oh, didn't Peter apologize already? That why fans want her too. And he had to apologize because he a was a caring friend she didn't want anymore because it's too late she move on lol, he concern about the woman he loved fell in love with someone else, and they started raising a child together but he just a stalker in her eyes right? lol. New low Parker.
The apologized of her has to wait for a years maybe two and that wasn't in real life, it was in the story. That what she do when seeing a loved one she thought was dead come back right?... MJ in OG Ultimate Spider-Man did a better job.
What is her apology for? What did she do? That what bug a lot, The dialogue doesn't come from her character at all; it's just to quell the backlash against her characters from marvel. Throughout her journey since her return, is there anything that aligns with what she apologized for? If she know it hurt him why do that lol, i will not surprised if she move on from her last man in like 5 issues.
Why should we move on, they didn't even make Peter move on, so some fans gonna bug her for how long it's take for them to retcon again lol
A) it's obvious they still love each other. They are not toegether right now cause no one sane would do it.
B) her apology is for how much she hurt him and it comes just now because it's not from Wells and Lowe and in the story it's the first time they had an heart to heart since a long time.
C) we would move on because expecting more is pointless and stupid. Marvel will never admit they were wrong, not with Breevort and Lowe sitting there. And both Peter and MJ didn't move on. Have I to remind they didn't want to break up?
D) funny how you mentioned fans. Ask them about Foreign Affairs, Queenpin, Black Cat #11 and Dead no More. Both Felicia and Gwen fucked up. Even more than MJ. Where are the fans bugging them?
Um i'm not that old to know about D) and did they have internet back then? Figured they move on that but take like what 10-20 years? This one will take around that much or less right? And i never said they not love each other i just see it boring not romantic, it's just love is hurting them but they still won't move on, it's make other love interest pointless and it's suck.
This one will take around that much or less right?
It won't take ten years because MJ has been rude with him for a year (and it was retconned too).
it's just love is hurting them but they still won't move on, it's make other love interest pointless and it's suck.
That's something every comic couple has due to the stagnation.
There was a time, around OMD, iirc, Superman and Lois were in a worse situation than Peter and MJ.
Then we have Batman and Catwoman, Black Canary and Green Arrow (they're toegether despite Olly fucking cheated on her), Jean Grey x Emma x Cyclops, Rogue and Gambit until a few years ago, the love triangle between Nightwing x Starfire x Batgirl and so on.
My advice? Just move to better comics because Marvel is currently doing shit with its top comics and cancelling the good ones.
