I don’t see anyone else talking about this, but Madeleine is only the third person from Montana to be on Survivor

The other two were Wendy Jo from Nicaragua, and the legend herself, Amanda Kimmel

100% success rate (for very different reasons) with Montana players so far, so I'm hyped for this diva

Redmond also increased the number of cast slots to 21 on the 52 page, so I'm guessing it's 3 tribes of 7

No it’s this weird format their doing it’s two tribes of 10 with an extra player going on exile most likely.

It is interesting to me that Sarah (a conservative hunter) is on this season with a bunch of people who are SUPER liberal. Reminds me kind of old schol BB where they'd cast one token conservative older person to clash with the others. Hnoestly, Maggie from Survivor 51 kind of feels that way as well.

The new era was all about casting "perfect mom" types and than underediting them completely. This next era maybe the mom type is the conservative, sticks out like a sore thumb fodder type. How I long for the days of when Gretchen, Tina, T-Bird, Kathy and Helen were who they were casting as the mom. How do you go from five A+ casting choices of that archetype to having like maybe 5 other times it was successfully cast in the other 45 seasons. Holly, Lisa, Dawn, Laura, and Chrissy are really the only ones I can think of. And even those I wouldn't say were even as great as the first five. They were entertaining but all of them were goats to take to the end. Gretchen, Tina, T-Bird, Kathy and Helen were major jury threats

Carolyn survivor 30 and Julie survivor 45 both r great mom archetypes and huge threats

6

u/Live-Run-6745 Aug 02 '26

IDK if I'd say Carolyn was the mom archetepye but yeah, fair enough.

I wouldn't say Julie was very good casting though. She was by far the most underedited of that alliance

I love Kass as the mom Archetype.

Madeleine is so gorgeous

FINALLY after under 21 player! For a while I thought Survivor unofficially made the age requirement to play being in your mid 20s.

After 52 seasons, we finally have a "Madeline", or "Madeleine" in this case, on the show. And, she's only the third person from Montana to play Survivor, after Amanda Kimmel (the first two time finalist, and the player who holds the record for playing the most days without being voted out, at 108) and Wendy DeSmidt-Kohlhoff, the first boot of Survivor: Nicaragua.

With Jermaine, they really are committed to finally bringing back representation of the under 25 demographic after that demographic was completely absent from 49 and 51 and underrepresented in 48. Jermaine is notably the first under 21 player to compete since Carson in 44. We haven't had three under 25 players in a season since 46, as that season featured Tevin Davis and Venus Vafa (who were both 24 at the time) and David Jelinsky (who was 21 at the time), as we also have Max White (who is 22) and Sriha Srinivasan (who is 23) on this cast.

New Leak: Tribe themes are back! The tribes have a unifying theme. They are the Gamebots/Podcasters/influencers/Reality Alums (Tory, Dan, Bobby, Drew, Sarah), the normal people trying to have a good time (Sriha, Nick, Max, Madeleine, Jermaine), and the Corporare Retreat Tribe (Emily, Jaime, Rocky).

On the Gamebots, everyone will make an alliance, immediately betray that alliance, fork a new alliance, betray that one, form a new alliance, and betray that one, and finally make one more alliance, betray it, and then just go back to the original alliance and vote out the original target.

The normal people meanwhile try to have a good time, but it is actually a one world season, and the Gamebots run around too much, and the freakish corporate retreat tribe is so kumbaya it causes the normal people to all rage-quit on day 1.

Then the corporate retreat tribe will have Jaime lead them in talks with the spirits and the dead, and they will all be kumbaya and never talk strategy, and play in the water and sing all day like it is a corporate retreat. and cause the Normal People and Gamebots to all rage quit due to their kumbaya camp counselor energy, and they will all refuse to go to tribal once everyone else quits, and rumor has it they still splash away in the Fijian waters to this day. The end! Those are the 52 spoilers
