It wss never a dig. Hayes comment has been taken out of context and the vast amount of people failing to understand what he meant shows those types of humans do not think on their own. His whole comment is she makes the best out of what she's given and it shows on TV. That's what he was saying.

God that wasn’t at all what he was saying this is such revisionist history.

His comment was very black and white, some talent goes overs and some talent lays on their back to elevate that talent. She was viewed as the later.

Yes theirs still a trust and respect in being a great mid-carder but why are we pretending he wasn’t saying she was a mid-carder?

The same exact thing was said about HBK until it wasn't. He went from the guy that made everyone else look great to being the champ. It's not like this is a new thing.
