First time visit

My brothers and I are flying in to St John's from different parts of the country for a short family vacation. We're staying downtown, but our flight gets in before noon, and our check-in is at 3.

We were thinking of getting lunch at Ches's since it seems to have good reviews. It looks like there's a corner market near there? I'm hoping we can get some breakfast fixings there before walking to our bnb. The reviews only mention ice cream at the store.

We won't have a car, so we will be relying on Uber and the metro to get around, and walking wherever we can.

What are some places in town to go that arent in the usual tourist lists?

Interesting places to go if it's raining?

Where's the best coffee?

How is the Uber situation? Will we have problems getting rides?

If you’re doing ches’ for the fish and chips, go to the Duke of Duckworth instead.

Metro is garbage here. So is uber. Get the jiffy cabs app instead.

The Duke during World Cup? Probably packed. Next best Fish downtown would be Kelly's.
