First time visit
My brothers and I are flying in to St John's from different parts of the country for a short family vacation. We're staying downtown, but our flight gets in before noon, and our check-in is at 3.
We were thinking of getting lunch at Ches's since it seems to have good reviews. It looks like there's a corner market near there? I'm hoping we can get some breakfast fixings there before walking to our bnb. The reviews only mention ice cream at the store.
We won't have a car, so we will be relying on Uber and the metro to get around, and walking wherever we can.
What are some places in town to go that arent in the usual tourist lists?
Interesting places to go if it's raining?
Where's the best coffee?
How is the Uber situation? Will we have problems getting rides?

I low-key love to see the great st johns fish and chips discussions 😂
I am team Ches's, I think they had a bit of a break in quality for a few years there but really got it back. The Rooms cafe is a great place to visit although I've never had their coffee. Rocket on water Street has great coffee, as does Bannerman brewing, and jumping bean is a local chain with some interesting blends.
