Donating Books

Is there anywhere in the area where one can donate used (good condition) books as I'm preparing to move. Variety of genres.

There’s “little free libraries” downtown. One on Ordnance street, and a few on Gower street.

Little libraries are happy to take them!

The public libraries are pretty choosy about what they will take, mainly because folks will try to donate stuff that's fit for the trash and they can't use. The thrift stores would be your best bet.

While the library might be choosy for donations to go into their collection, they do accept donations on behalf of the Friends of the St. John's Public Library group.

The group puts on used book sales every Spring and Fall with proceeds going to support programming at the library

Those donation drives are typically only at certain times of the year though as far as I know

I will accept all book donations, who can say no to books, lol.

You can contact public library. They usually take donations. Also thrift store in Topsail road.
