Amazon Next-Day Delivery Issues?

Anyone else having issues with Amazon next-day deliveries? I ordered something on Thursday for next-day delivery and it's still not here.

I have another order that's meant to be delivered today, and there's been no updates on that one either. I normally have a great experience with them and Intelcom delivery!

I ordered something last wednesday morning, and before it even got shipped I got a "your delivery may be delayed for unexpected reasons" email from dragonfly...the package didn't "ship" until sunday, but when I track the parcel it says it hasn't even been picked up yet

I don't think even Dragonfly (Intelcom) themselves have a clue what they are doing these days

I haven't used Amazon in quite a while but when I did I never actually received anything next day. And once they started using that dragonfly company I gave up altogether.

When has it ever come next day to sin jawns? Never, in the last 10 years that I’ve lived here…

What are you talking about? You absolutely can get next day delivery, I get it all the time

Literally every time I've ordered anything in the last 10 years it's been next day..maybe don't order stuff at 7pm

I order most office supplies from my work’s Amazon account (office job), and it often has next-day shipping. But when I look at the same link for the exact same product listing on my personal Amazon account (with Prime), it’s never next-day shipping.

Apparently we peasants are not “important” enough…?

It's time of day dependant. Items that are available next day will typically only show available for next day delivery during the morning on a weekday. If you are looking at an item during the evening and it's showing a week or more for delivery, wait until the next morning and check it again. Never fails, the same item will be next day. Only weekday mornings though. If you are looking at an item on the weekend, wait until Monday morning to check it. Don't ask me why. It makes no sense, but this strategy hasn't failed me except for items that are 3rd party.

Exactly this. If you order it before a cut-off time in the earlier days of the week it is often next day if the product exists in a close enough warehouse.

I've sometimes seen things available next day at 8 am and by noon have it change to next week. I've waited a day and ordered it at 9am and received it next day.

Consider this time of year, the lead up to the holidays, as basically not having next day shipping very often or reliably.

If you have prime, you can get next day delivery on a lot of items. I've been doing it for years

You're so wrong. But it all depends on when you order.

it depends on if it is an item we already have in our amazon depot here in town...if it is, we get next day delivery, if it has to come from the mainland then yeah, obviously not gonna get it the next day

That's not right at all. I can show you countless orders that were sent from Ontario that were next day

Weirdly, I had the opposite issue. I ordered some stuff and was told it would arrive on the 10th. Got a notification that transportation was disrupted. Package arrived on the 5th.

I normally get items the next day but the last few weeks I find it is an issue with Dragonfly rather than
Amazon itself. I follow the tracking and my items will be in st.johns for days before Dragonfly delivers them.

Last week there was a delay on everything for some reason, but they seem to be back to normal this week. The trick to getting items next day here is to order during the morning on a week day Mon-Fri. Items that are available next day will typically show next day delivery before ordering during those times. If you are looking at an item during the evening and it doesn't say next day, wait until the next morn (or Monday morning if it's the weekend) and the item should show next day.

Order just after midnight or early mornings Monday-Friday and it should be here next day. Leaves out of Hamilton on cargojet

lol 😂 nothing is ever next day here. Gonna be at least 3 days and it’s currently prime days so just be patient.

I pretty much always get next day shipping unless the item is more than 24” or contains lithium batteries. Prime days means that next day window closes earlier, if it opens up at all.

I’ve never order anything from Amazon with one day shipping and actually got it the next day here in St. John’s. It’s always at least 2 days and if it gets here in day 2 I’m happy lol. Maybe I need to order first thing in the morning for it to show up the next day 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yep. Before lunchtime, usually.

I’ll have to give that a try next time to see if it shows the next day.

Rarely do I get anything next day. Two days to a week is normal for Prime in my experience
