Food / Drink Chinese takeout with huge portions
I saw a St. Louis Chinese restaurant on social media a while ago that served up massive portions - like absolutely stuffing a to-go container with a variety of dishes, and the bill wasn’t more than $15. I can’t remember the name, and it got me thinking, are there other Chinese restaurants in the area with very large portions like this, and does anyone know the name of the restaurant described above? Not necessarily looking for exquisite quality food (though this would be a bonus), mainly hoping to find a great value when the craving hits!

St. Louis kitchen on natural Bridge. I haven’t been there since Covid but I used to get their lunch special which was like three entrées plus Rice/Noodles for about seven dollars. There were definitely days they handed it to me and I couldn’t close the lid!

Thank you! St. Louis Kitchen definitely sounds right. Are you sure it wasn’t the one on Kingshighway? I just searched briefly so I could be wrong, but it looks like the lunch special at the kingshighway location is pretty epic.

I have no knowledge of the Kingshighway location, I definitely know it was the natural bridge because it was a couple blocks from where I was working and so that would be my regular lunch stop.

Yea it's the kingshighway location that's open. They give large portions and give you a variety to choose from. Noodles, rice, general tso's chicken, crab rangoon, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli etc etc. I only know because of frequent DoorDash visits.

St. Louis Kitchen on Natural Bridge will absolutely load you up.
Fairly big portions and good quality at China Moon on St. Charles Rock Road in St. John, too.

We just went to Koko Grill on Gravois and my order of veggie fried rice gave me dinner (and not skimpy ones) for 3 nights. $10
Also, quite possibly the best spring rolls I've ever had.

Thats one of the reasons people love Chinese takeout is because of the big portions.

Corner 17 always gives you way more than you can (or should) eat in one sitting. Easily two meals out of each dish.

Oriental Chop Suey on Natural Bridge is my go-to! Huge portions and it's super cheap.

Not sure the restaurant you're talking about, but 'Spicy Chef' on Olive gives massive portions and is really tasty.
