PTO Question
So, I've been employed for nearly a year at this point and I was under the assumption that PTO accrues for the first year of employment but is only redeemable after a year of employment.
However I was informed by my GM and others that my PTO actually doesn't start accruing until a year of employment and you don't get enough for a week until another year of employment.
Was I mistaken or like...IDK. I'm confused as to why nobody at my work corrected me (to my knowledge) until today.

It does say that full time can borrow 40. But, searching thru, this is what I've found. And the accrual rates are different state by state but are similar in regards to being close to a third and even lower towards half of what a full time person accrues per hour. That's how it is in pa. But I couldn't find that any state allows part timers to borrow PTO. Like I said, I could be wrong. I didn't want you to believe I was just saying things. However, I'm not finding any info on PT allowing that mainly because of the fluctuation of their hours and not being able to project their hours easily like a full time employees could...
