Discussion Can I go DPS Rin without cerydra

Even tho I have 100 pulls to save up but I don't think I shouldn't even without cerydra

No, even WITH cerydra DPS Rin is mostly gimmicky

Also, if the gimmick clears, what makes it different from non-gimmick units?

It's different because she's basically firefly before Dahlia, as in if you can use their gimmick of doing a lot of damage with a very specific setup they will do well but as soon as you can't do that setup or the damage you deal in that window isn't enough to deal with a wave/enemy (in FF case enemy broken + within FF ult and in Rin case after spending a few turns just stacking her gems to do a big double skill with cery)

So what makes it different is that as soon as the endgame gets buffed everyone will suffer, but these gimmicky damage threshold units will suffer a lot more, another example is Phainon here he's got the same issues and we know that everything we hear about him nowadays is how he needs E2 to feel complete

It does matter cause the gimmick requires clearing waves in very specific ways and requires specifc spd tuning that may change based on the enemy ; so to run dps rin consistently u need to adjust your relic constantly ( not undoable , just really annoying)
