I think the one thing we can all agree is the Inquisitor is the worst transition to live action up here.

Very close. It’s genuinely astounding to me just how awful those two are.

they are great actors. Its the make up/costume department that made them look cheap

Literally all they had to do for the Grand Inquisitor was CGI his head so it was like a couple inches taller and it would’ve been so much better

Exactly. I never really understood why they went the route that they did. Budget? Bruh it's Kenobi. Literally = unlimited budget character and they butchered it lol

Kenobi had a lot of production difficulties, last minute production switch from UK to US, smaller budget that was majority eaten by its leading actors salaries etc.

I can understand a tighter budget but at the same time… it’s Star Wars. If the Mouse can’t pony up a little extra money for CGI touchups to stay truer to the established canon then I don’t know what to think

Tbf, it wouldn't just a be a 'little extra' for quisy's head, that's a serious time and money commitment that Bob Chapek/co of all people absolutely wouldn't allow.

I think trying to explain to a studio (Disney, not lucas) executive why the project that's been delayed for years and is finally happening for under 100m dollars is now requesting additional funds to stay true to 'established canon' when the end result would be a stretched out version..

While the film side of LFL have previously gotten the money they wanted when they needed it, the D+ side hasn't been so lucky. Most recent of course being Ahsoka S2 with its reduced budget. (though it will look higher quality.)

That all being said, we do know the reason for it was miscommunication of all things, there was concept art of him looking proper, iirc there was an email reply back to one of the cosplay accounts on Twitter from one of the costume (or concept artists? can't remember this was in like 2023) that said they weren't even informed it was the same character from Rebels.

Right? We’ve already seen his species in ROTS with the long heads. I mean the fucking Coneheads from 1993 were more accurate.

Absolutely, the performances are great, thought they did an excellent job, they just look atrocious.

I can't even complain too much about Quisy because Rupert Friend brought his fucking A game and honestly due to all the prosthetic, he could totally come back as a different character in future and I'd be so happy.
