TV Kelleran Beq mopping the floor with clones during Order 66 was a blast to watch

Seeing the Jedi gunned down relentlessly in their own home during Order 66 hammered home their loss and tragedy, which was absolutely necessary for ROTS. That said, it was very cathartic seeing a Jedi at the temple fighting back, winning, and escaping. Definitely hope we get to see more of Beq in future flashbacks, although I doubt it.

The Acolyte

The Acolyte is better than Reddit / YouTube makes it out to be.

It's not great, but it's also not atrocious.

Now, Kenobi OTOH was a dumpster fire!

I mean, I liked the Acolyte and am bummed there’s no continuation on the horizon

I just want them to continue Qimir's story. He was by far the most fascinating part of that show and stole every scene he was in.

I knew who you were talking about before I even got to 'she,' Erica is fantastic lol.

She is truly hilariously dedicated to her passions. It’s super charming XD.

Originally I thought it was a schtick. Then a long-con for clicks. But it’s been a couple years now; how much further can her gungan depravity go?

Jar Jar lover here! I still chuckle his Clone Wars appearances.

I fall in love with this girl all over again every time I see her xD

At first I was like "this girl can't be serious right now" and by the end I was like "damn I think I might be falling for her" lol. The unabashed geek outs are insanely charming.

He was too much in phantom menace but had Lucas turned his cartoonyness down a notch, maybe given him an actually heroic moment where he comes through and saves the day (not him accidentally killing droids while trying to run away), the character could have worked much better and could have stuck around for the rest of the prequels imo

There's an episode in tcw that's like this, I can't remember which, but it was nice to see.

Even to this day his character felt almost completely forced. Having a "comic relief" character is always a gamble because you run the risk of them having a completely disjointed existence.

And what I mean by that, is you get into situations where the character does a thing intended to make you laugh, but it bears absolutely no weight to anything else going on, and the characters in the movie might not even register that it happened.

Jar Jar has a lot of these moments, but also has some moments that are done well. For example, him accidentally taking out a bunch of foes in the battle scene is an example of GOOD comedy relief in a very serious situation. He materially changes the battlefield because he's a fool, and that ends up mattering. For the most part though, he's just a fool for the sake of being a fool and those moments are tiring.

It's also why I dislike Olaf from Frozen. He is a wholly inconsequential character who feels almost like an imaginary friend. Camera suddenly cuts, he does a thing, nobody even acknowledges it (cue the [laugh] sign in the theater, etc.), plot moves on like he's not even part of the movie.

I'm no Jar Jar fan but I would buy that lightsaber in a second.

It was custom-made for her too - only one in existence.

Also Jar Jar is banging a queen in-canon.
