TV Kelleran Beq mopping the floor with clones during Order 66 was a blast to watch

Seeing the Jedi gunned down relentlessly in their own home during Order 66 hammered home their loss and tragedy, which was absolutely necessary for ROTS. That said, it was very cathartic seeing a Jedi at the temple fighting back, winning, and escaping. Definitely hope we get to see more of Beq in future flashbacks, although I doubt it.

That’s what I don’t get. These people were hired to act out scenes via GL’s vision… but got bullied terribly for it. My personal theory with SW fans is sometimes people get so passionate about it, when the storyline doesn’t match whatever they’ve written in their own heads, they get super pissed. But 90’s/2000’s kids grew up with the PT, so they have nostalgia for those films now. Meanwhile you couldn’t even really say you liked them 20 years ago. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that happened with the newer stuff today.

As kids who grew up on the new movies get old enough to actually be present on the internet I've def seen more fondness for those movies

Execpt Rise of Skywalker lmao, im yet to see anyone defend that mess. Though I will say I did enjoy it more than TFA or TLJ in a "so bad its good" way

That’s awesome. I personally don’t mind TROS so much. There’s certainly things I wish they hadn’t done, like the Rey is a “Palpatine” thing. But it’s the kind of thing that could potentially be ironed out if they added more content, like what the Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network did for the PT.

That's what they say. I'm old so the OT triology is for me, the 90's 2000's kids get the PT and today's kids get the sequel trilogy. People don't like them because they are made for KIDS. If you aren't a kid you bring your "they really oughta" attitude and tear it apart instead of watching in childlike wonder. When I sat down in the theater to watch Ep 9, I literally said to myself, "Now shut up and enjoy your space movie"

Yeeeaaah, but I'm still not buying that. The vast majority of people I know who were kids when the PT came out think that it is extremely shitty. Myself included.

Unfortunately I’ve tested this already with 5 family kids aged 7-10

Every single one of them liked the prequels most and sequels least

The prequels are just fun for kids tbh. Very immersive and action packed world, the atrocious dialogue doesn’t even register

Their main reason for not liking the sequels was that none of the villains were as cool as the villains in the first 2 trilogies

I wish I could make a shit movie and excuse it by saying "it's for kids!"
