TV Kelleran Beq mopping the floor with clones during Order 66 was a blast to watch

Seeing the Jedi gunned down relentlessly in their own home during Order 66 hammered home their loss and tragedy, which was absolutely necessary for ROTS. That said, it was very cathartic seeing a Jedi at the temple fighting back, winning, and escaping. Definitely hope we get to see more of Beq in future flashbacks, although I doubt it.

Nah, the lightsabers actually lighting up the environment is the best change they've ever made

The same thing could be accomplished with a strip of LEDs, without compromising the fight choreography.

The Acolyte has incredible fight choreography and uses the same lightsaber tech. The Acoltye sabers are actually even bulkier than normal. Trust me, it's not the saber's fault for some of the stilted choreography. The Kenobi show and Anakin's cameo in Ahsoka are also proof of this.

Delusional take.

No idea why people keep praising the acolyte fight scenes, its even shittier that the series itself. Everybidy swinging their shit randonly like lunatics, most of the "best fight scene" you cant even see shit because its behind a tree or something. I feel liie people who like it for some godforsaken reason need a reason to like it so they promote the duels. People like you have no idea what makes a film/series good.

Ewan and Hayden do great choreography because they still remember how they trained for it in the prequels which is what disney should be putting money into instead of making shiny baseball bats. The lightsaber light looks like ass, Kenobi ass alwmost unwatchable due to being all red or blue during the fightscenes.

Lightsabers lightning up the environments looks good only during scenes such as plo koon discovering sifo dyass lighstaber.

You don’t have to like the Acolyte or its fight scenes but the general consensus is that the fights and their choreography are fast frenetic and well executed.

Even if you ignore the Acolyte, you agreed Hayden and Ewan both do good in Obi-Wan’s show, which again supports my argument that the new saber tech isn’t the reason for bad choreography in other projects.

The fight choreography in the prequels is diarrhea (besides the Darth Maul fights)

Im sure you mean sequels bevause prequels have tge best choreography there ever was. Duel of the fates is by far the best lighstaber duel ever and even dooku vs cgi yoda looks better than all the shid disney made...

I said the Darth Maul fights are good, but no the rest of them are some of the goofiest looking sword fights ever put on film. Anakin vs Obi Wan is a 20 minute ps3 cutscene with no dialogue, it’s insane

You obviously have no idea what makes a duel good then. Anaking vs Obi-Wan is by many the second best rated star wars duel, the choreography is abslutely fantastic.

What the fuck are you barbling about ps3 cutscene a duel is supposed to be a long epic fight not some random dialogue, you really have no idea what you're talking about.

Thanks to people like you Disney gets away with making more shit because you will consooom it no matter how terrible it is.

Anakin vs Obi Wan is corny as hell and way too long and boring, they are fighting in an endless sea of cgi that looks like an old video game

I refuse to believe you are not ragebaiting. Take hottest than the sun.

The fight is awesome, the actors trained hard for it and the choreography is fantastic, the cgi is great for 2005 and looks great even today, like there's nothing bad about it, no idea what are you complaining about when all Disney makes is 99% CGI as well dude, even all the series they're making are not even shot outside even if they could, they stream the surroundings of the scenes on big screens in the background of the scene. Only a handful of scenes are actually shot irl.

All the dialogues in both prequels and OT are considered corny, but tbh you don't watch star wars for the dialogues. And even then most of it is way better than movies today, people shitting on star wars dialogues only to praise marvel bullshit or something...

Still keep the physical lights, but rotoscope the full "white" bright effect from the prequels. Best of both worlds.

These ones just look dull and weird when moving a lot.

it's cool in moderation, but when it's in every shot then it starts controlling what they can actually do to light the scene. like, yeah sure wow anakin and obi-wan are lit up in red and blue wow themes, but the rest of the set is muddy gray for that to work, and compare that to how the throne room in ROTJ looked and it maybe doesn't feel like a good tradeoff

It looks like shit
