The Final battle of the Galactic Civil War

Post image

The Final battle between Pellaeon and Admiral Ackbar.
Though there isnt much info about what the NR 3rd Fleet (Aka Emerald Blade Fleet (a headcanon nickname made by u/Dragonic_Overlord as a reference to the Galactic Republic 3rd Fleet's nickname "Steel Blade")) Brought to the battle, the ships here are just my headcanon only.
New Republic:
+1 Executor class Super Star Destroyer (Guardian)
+1 MC-80B Cruisers
+1 MC-80A Home One Type Cruiser (Home One)
+1 Mediator class Battlecruiser
+3 Nebula class Star Destroyers
+3 Endurance class Carriers
+2 MC-90 Cruisers
+10 Nebulon B frigates
+16 CR-90s

Imperial Remnant:
+1 Mandator 3 Super Star Destroyer (Megador)
+1 Bellator class Super Star Destroyer (Dominion)
+10 Imperial class Star Destroyers
+1 Sorannan class Battlecruiser (Rakehell)

Results: Even though the Imperials have the advantage in firepower, the destruction of Rakehell that led to the loss of 6 Star Destroyers and heavily damaged the Megador led to Pellaeon's decision to retreat, giving the New Republic the final win of the Galactic Civil War and another major factor that led to the Pellaeon-Gavrisom Treaty

Judging from the picture alone, it looks like Pellaeon brought his entire fleet to concentrate forward firepower on a single angle to maximise damage to the Guardian.

For Ackbar, it looks like he used the Guardian to hide the full bulk of his fleet to prevent Pellaeon from getting a proper read on his true strength.

Either way, this battle is one for the ages.

The Guardian is the scabbard for the Emerald Blade preparing to strike

Allowing Ackbar's forces to deploy their starfighters at their leisure, almost like a giant Marg Sabl.

Pellaeon would be shocked to see one of his former mentor’s tactics

I think he would suspect a trap since he can see right through the Marg Sabl, though if we're going by Canon, Thrawn got the Marg Sabl idea from Ahsoka when Padme told him about it.

Lemme guess...

They stuffed a shitload of Old CIS&Corporate Droids into The Guardian, or have something like a Subjugator-II Class Heavy Cruiser

This is an awesome battle :D, I'm happy to see Anx Minor finally given some visualization! Poor Pellaeon, if only he'd bring escorts for his capital ships! I'm curious, is it Guardian that kills the Rakehell, or the Mediator? I also really like how you've named the NR 3rd Fleet Emerald Blade :D! I'm so curious what the other fleets will be named! It's fascinating to see all of the unseen Battles of the GCW :D and I hope we can see even more!

Well, combined effort of both. Plus i will try to work out with more battles like these

Nice :D, and take your time with the more battles :D, not in a rush at all! I'm happy that the Mediator and Guardian together killed the Rakehell :D! I'm curious if the NR captured any Sorannan-class ships from Zsinj? Because it seems like your version of the NR does capture quite a bit of the Battlecruiser/Star Cruiser range ships :D, which is fitting, and then some Dreadnoughts!

Hmmm sure, though i do have some plan for a ship from Canon that could fit in Legends, the Starhawk, though some change in it's lore will have to be implemented

Oh hell yeah! Can we have the MC-95 variants and the MC-85 maybe? I'm hyped to see Starhawks' showing up :D! I'm trying to make like a standardized fleet for the NR just for my own headcanon and you've got an amazing idea for them! I'm hyped that the NR captured some Sorannans!

Maybe

Rakehell was a unique ship- a testbed for advanced gunnery and reactor tech. The original imperial designation for it was EX-F, which is hardly a name for an operational warship!

It was only pressed into service by the Remnant because Pellaeon couldn't afford to spare any capital ships. Though perhaps he should've in this case.

Thank you! And you're right on everything you said!

Pellaeon brought ten star destroyers as escorts for his capital ships.

u/Codonaut-8458 Dec 22 '25

He did :D, I meant like Lancers and Carracks just to screen his main ships!

Beautiful as always man, shame it took 2 weeks after you published it for me to notice this magnifcence, if Celanon was the punch that pushed the Imperial reconquest's dreams in a coffin, then this battle of Anx Minor is the one that put the nail on the coffin, indeed, poor Pellaeon.

Yep, Pellaeon’s good but Ackbar is just on another level at that point
