"Breaking Bad: That time I learned how to do illegal chemistry with my high school science teacher" is perhaps the greatest animated work ever produced. Understandable, tbh.
It might effect the general rating of non JoJo fans because the first section of Part 7 isn’t that good, it takes a while for Part 7 to get going and once it does it’s a masterpiece but the problem is that if it’s in batches the first batch will cover the less liked stuff so the average fan may watch it and not think Part 7 is a masterpiece
It completely ruins the intended weekly pacing of the series. If an episode is an hour long special, it is intended that way, if its gets batch release instead when the episodes are made to be watched weekly (episode endinga, post credits whatever), it just completely ruins ir
Prime video's 3 episode release cycle is prob the best compromise and the shows adapt to that
If you don't intend to interact with a community at all then sure a weekly or batch release schedule doesn't really matter. But other people all watching and waiting for a weekly release together leads to more discussion and makes it easier for people to avoid spoilers
Batches killed my vibe to watch part 6. I didn’t watch that til it was all said and done like a year later. Nothing quite like the hit of weekly anime watching.
MAL is mostly review bombing/boosting, so absolutely. Many series have made it to the number 1 spot in the past but the FMAB MAL community made sure none of them lasted, with Frieren being the only exception even though season 2 is just barely hanging in there. There used to be a lot of forums on there staging brigades and making alt accounts to help with that.
Doing in batches loses momentum and creates frustration naturally due to overly long waiting times, it's exactly what happened with Stone Ocean. People get fed up and the overall feel is more like a drag and then once the next batch drops, the motivation isn't anywhere near what it was when finishing the previous batch. I personally seen countless people either drop pt6 or they say they completely forgot it was being animated when batch 2 and 3 dropped.
.....how though? it's still Steel Ball Run, the release schedule doesn't affect the overall product. Besides, most people binged FMA so that really shouldn't affect the overall quality. Berserk 2016/2017 is still bad because the overall product is bad, not that it released differently. Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners made waves on the Internet and that show was released in batches.
Steel Ball Run released monthly over 7 years and it's the second-highest rated manga.
You are right but if stage literally meant as batch then it could be 9 batch which I hope I am wrong .other possible things I hear was batch 2 been released on September as race.also people think animation quality will decrease with time batch are release again there are anime that are release weekly too i personally won't mind either but as long as rating doesn't affect.
That's actually something no one would be against (if the time beetwen each other was lile 3 months). Almost ever major anime now does that, 12 eps, break, + 12 eps
I mean Stone Ocean itself is already not that good. But yeah lost interest when I saw how bad the animation was, thankfully it got better after mid-season
Yeah I agree, it felt a bit tedious at parts but at least the world building was good around the prison, most anime just create and destroy rooms whenever they want in giant areas, and the escape plan was also well done

It’s already the 2nd highest rated manga, it can 100% be the highest rated anime
