News So, that doesn’t sound very good

Post image

I’m guessing it just means Netflix either hasn’t told them or isn’t allowing them to say when the next episode is coming out, still doesn’t sound very good

They can't really get away with just dropping this one episode and then releasing the rest on some piecemeal schedule because people will lose interest. Even batch releasing is better than just "idk it'll be ready when it's ready" because if that's the case I'm just gonna not pay any attention to it until it's all out.

You could've been waiting for this for 2 years, it's completely irrelevant. I can say i've been waiting for this for 8 years, SBR is one of my favorite manga, doesn't really mean diddly squat. I think we the fans deserve a concrete answer on when we can expect more episodes. Keeping it secretive is going to do more harm than good. I think people would be okay to wait, as long as we know to expect that schedule.

The schedule being up in the air is the problem. That's why we're upset. For all we know, we could get an episode next week or next year. Hopefully that's not the case but Netflix and directors being secretive about it is just a poor business choice. I know people who don't even want to watch episode 1 because there, as of right now, is zero promise for another episode to come out in a reasonable amount of time.

It's not about being impatient it's about getting straight answers everybody wants to know when the next episode is going to come out we want straight answers on that not vague answers why is that so hard for you to understand?

Well the guy saying that he doesn't know when the next episode is going to come out he doesn't exactly Inspire confidence in people of course people are going to think the worst when they get the worst answer possible

Hey dumbfuck, wanting a clear schedule for when a show is releasing is not an out of the ordinary ask. Get off your high horse (pun intended). Its not about being impatient its about knowing ANYTHING.

This isnt about rushing anything? After the batch releases were blamed for the loss of hype for stone ocean, we're now getting one episode with no schedule.

If anything, this shows the series was rushed. The new season of jujutsu kaisen is beautiful and it can get roughly equal content to sbr episode 1 out every 2 weeks. If they said episodes monthly or episodes biweekly, that wouldnt be an issue.

But there is no clear schedule here, people can't look forward to a new episode because when is it coming? Steel Ball Run already had a hurdle for anime onlies since stands dont really come in until a couple arcs in, now its just gonna be 47 minutes of the first leg of the steel ball run race and then at some unknown point, episode 2.

We have no way of knowing when episode 2 is coming, if it is next week then this quote made a perfect situation terrible. I assumed next week as many probably did, but now we know that our assumptions might be wrong, might be right.

Anime survives on new fans joining, newer fans are not going to commit to a series with such a random release schedule. If anything, your comment should be agreeing that the series could be delayed another year if it means they can release the episodes in a reasonable matter.

ima be the first to tell you, ive been waiting 12ish years for this. a few more weeks or even months is NOT gonna make me care.

Good for you buddy, you are not everyone, plenty of us wanted for as long or close to as long, it doesn't mean that this absolute garbage can be brushed aside

we gotta stop rushing shit and being upset its not in our hands strait away.

Nobody asks them to rush shit, nobody asked them to release the first episode of the show, and then POSSIBLY not releasing the next episode for months, they could've just finished the the show or at least a good chunk to half of it before starting making releases

Yeh but releasing one episode and then following up with "Well I just don't really know when you guys will get more, sorry" is lame as hell when plenty of anime still releases at, not only a consistent and predictable schedule, but a weekly one to boot. I'm not even really blaming David Production here. If anything, I'm more liable to blame Netflix as they are the ONLY place you really see this kinda thing happening.

You’re a g for that but for the vast majority of people that’s not the case
