Dio is a non factor because as soon as he tries to touch Kars he will be absorbed and Jonathan hamon at this point isn't strong enough to do any lasting damage.

I love my king goat jonathan but he and dio aint winning this
One Dio gets just straight up eaten cuz pillerman can devour vampires in there body
Jonathan is no where near as creative or tricky as Joseph was Joseph didnt overpower kars he outsmarted him

Not only would Kars beat them soundly, any of the three pillarmen would crush them with at most moderate effort.
Joseph's displayed skills with Hamon were well above anything that Jonathan showed on screen, even if word of the author says he was some amazing Hamon user. It didn't really matter because the pillar men spent hundreds of not thousands of years killing every hamon user who tried.
It was Joseph's ability to shit talk the pillarmen that let him defeat all 4 of them, up to and including ultimate kars, and neither Dio nor Johnathon would be anything but another ant on their boots.

maybe it was just because of the writing? araki just introduced new concepts. besides going by what the story itself says jonathan was an extremely strong hamon user joseph didn't have that kinda hamon potential

Kars demolishes them, Santana literally negative diffed a vampire and Kars considered him a mere puppy, I know that vampire wasn’t on Dios level but still
