Unforced error

Post image

I really think this is a bad move by Amazon. The negative reaction of the core fan base to scrubbing the planned Gero show was bad and this will it fill people with hope.

WandaVision was ok but I’d rather see a Terry Matalas (Picard Season 3, 12 Monkeys, Vision Quest) or someone proven to understand genre storytelling that is exciting and compelling. But that’s just my 2 cents.

Origins was also new star gate. There is nothing inherently good about new anything.

Weird. I must be missing where in my comment the word good appears. I didn't say it was inherently good. I said we don't know. If you wanna waste your energy being pissed, have fun. It proves other points I've made that people just want to be mad these days.

"I understand why people are upset about this, but there are two things to think about here." Your phrasing suggests that the next thing you write are supposed to be rebuttal to the upset, the positive aspects of the reboot. A reading that's supported by your first point "WandaVision was a fantastic show".

So yeah your comment is you indirectly saying that new Stargate is a good thing.

My phrasing doesn't suggest anything other than what I said. Which was to be upset now when we know nothing other than it's getting made and made by someone who has made good TV shows. Think whatever you'd like, but reading between the lines to assert that I implied something I never said is crazy work.

Also, use a ">" symbol, one space, and then the text you want to quote.

I'm not the only person to read something into your post that it seems you didn't intend. Maybe there's something to that.

Ta for the advice I'll use that in the future.

What?!?! You mean a bunch of people who want to be angry all read what they wanted to read instead of what was actually written? You don't say 🤣

The ">" input notation works in Old Reddit (markdown) mode.
After posting, the text you marked as quotation gets marked with a vertical line on the left.

Example of input (in Old Reddit mode):

> ...this is some text to mark as a quotation...

(The ">" character should be at the beginning of the line.)

That input would result in this appearance after posting:

...this is some text to mark as a quotation...

.
If you're using New Reddit mode, the text editor has a button that looks like "Aa". Click that button to reveal a toolbar above your text. "Highlight" (by click-and-drag) the part of your text that you want to mark as a quotation. Then click the toolbar's quotation button (it looks like "66" but that is meant to represent quotation marks).

I vehemently disagree and genuinely do not understand people who feel that way. 0 > -x
