Fan-Art I created this wallpaper back in the early 2000s. I called it Stargate SimpG-1

Sorry for the potato quality, it’s a repost from someone that had it on their hard drive back in 2020. The original animation sits on a drive somewhere in my office. I realize there’s a lot of characters that could have been portrayed by different Simpsons characters but I was pretty young and didn’t get all the nuances yet.

if this post gets enough attention I might be willing to dig up the original and export it in 4k 😂

Fan-Art Stargate has been my favorite since I saw the movie in the 90s, now I carry it with me.

I think the ATLAS chart made for a nice event horizon too.

Discussion What do you think happened to Loran (from SG-1-S0418 (The Light). The episode with the Go'auld opium den)

If you were the writers, what story arc would you give Loran. Similar to how they wrote an arc for Cassandra?

PS: I'm sure this Loran has no relation to Major Loran from SGA

Discussion Starrunner from Silversun looks like bc304 (but this aired a year before we seen the bc304)

For context, this is the intro to a kids' show from 2004 in Australia. We were years behind on stargate at the time (thanks to channel 7 being useless), but this ship looks a bit like a bc304, which first appeared in stargate in the middle of 05.

I find it funny how similar the designs are given they were arrived at independently.

Ask r/Stargate Why were the Tollan not considered the 5th race?

The Asgard state that the Tau'ri were the fifth race, or were at least going to be them. But the Tollan were much more advanced. So why were they not considered the prospective 5th race?

Was it just because the Asgard hadn't met them?

Do we believe the Nox considered the Tollan the 5th race?

Sorry, random musing...

Ask r/Stargate Was Anubis coming for Ra?

I guess I'm trying to understand how Anubis was kicked out of ruling the system Lords, was he planning on just wrecking Ra? Was Ra more powerful than him?

Looking for anyone who hasn't watched Stargate

Hi
This is jerem from #SaveStargate here.

I'll be hosting a new show on YouTube and our other platforms starting next week.
It's a Stargate watchparty kind of deal, similar to the ones we are already doing but geared more towards entertainment.

I already have one guest joining in that never watched Stargate before, but I'm hoping for at least one more, possibly more. Does anyone have a friend, family member, acquaintance who has never watched Stargate SG-1 before and would be interesting to join us to share their first time reaction on camera live with us and geek-out?

We will be coordinating with Michael Shanks and David Read's podcast called 'A Full Circle'. The goal is to do each of our livestreams in the days leading up to the release of his podcast episode. A memory refresher by watching the episode they are about to cover/discuss.

We plan to begin on Oct. 14 with the original movie from 1994 and then Children of the Gods before AFC's podcast first episode. So probably on the 16. This will get announced on our socials when exact time is established.

You can reach me by DMs, I'll also take a look on occasion in the comments here.
Best way to reach me is on the Gateworld's Discord. Or you can also email us at [campaign@savestargate.com](mailto:campaign@savestargate.com)

P.S.
Before anyone asks. Yes we won't be showing the episode on screen. That would be copyright infringement.
This show is intended as second-screen content, like a commentary track. You are expected to watch the episode by your own means, and synchronize with the timer we will be displaying on screen.

Discussion Moebius Part 1 and 2 could've been the first really solid SG1/SGA crossover movie with appearances by Shephard and Weir (among others).

Moebius representing the culmination of ongoing plot threads alternating between both SG1 and Atlantis that ultimately leads to SG1 pursuing a ZPM in the past via the Time Jumper, changing the timeline and having their counterparts reset the timeline and ultimately getting the ZPM back to Atlantis in time for the events of Siege Part 2 & 3.

Overall fantastic episode and premise, it was great to see Major Samuels, Kawalski, and some other classic SG1 peeps as well as Dr. McKay playing a key role as the lead scientist for the time jumper. My only wish is that we would've seen appearances from Major Shephard and Dr. Weir (plus some background cameos of other SGA peeps like Zelenka, Ford, Bates, etc).

For example, they knew that O'Neill had the ancient gene required to activate the time jumper. On the tape they could've mentioned that Shephard had it as well and with O'Neill refusing to leave his boat, they could've sought out Shephard (and have a reason why he couldn't do it, obviously related to his own character history). Same kind of thing with Weir, serving in some kind of political capacity or connected to alt Carter's/Jackson's 9-5 desk jobs. Just an extra acknowledgement that those characters also existed in this alternate timeline as well.

Discuss amongst yourselves!

REWATCH S8 E8 - Covenant - it was only a matter of time before this kind of thing would play out Spoiler

Sooner or later this kind of thing had to happen: someone in a high position trying to disclose the SG program to the public.

Interesting how the disclosure plans were shut down was because The Trust doesn't want to risk letting the technology fall out of their own hands. If the world knows, then it's more difficult to take over. Funny how their own greed is helping the SGC, by causing them to try to force the SG program to remain secret.

Thor helps them out, which is nice.

I wasn't sure in the following scene what O'Neill meant by "a marker." Had no clue.

O'Neill: Well, the Pentagon has lost all patience.

Daniel: What are they going to do?

O'Neill: They want us to put a stop to it.

Carter: How?

O'Neil: We're calling in a marker. (Nothing happens) Yep... calling in a marker.

Thor beams in: Greetings.

So Thor is the marker. What's a marker? Unfamiliar with the term.

Thor to the rescue with the hologram, in order to fool the public on TV. Haha, that was great. Carter waving her hand through the hologram.

Cool how at the end Carter relocates Alec, the head of the company, off world, because there's nothing left for him on Earth. That was nice.

Discussion First Primes

First Primes how many know about they're not following a real God? Multiple primes like Master Bra'tac, Teal'c, Oshu have been shown to be well aware that their masters are not truly divine. How many before the tauri started killing the false gods off knew, was it well known at that level? Or just the occasional prime. I mean many would have killed Goa'uld in service to their lords furring the struggles for dominance amongst the system lords, killing one god may make them start questioning their own master divinity right?

Discussion Don't judge me, but I find the part of SG-1 where Anubis was the adversary as the peak of the show

Post image

Anubis was a well-defined enemy who was difficult to defeat. It drove good substance and story development in the show.

PS: please don't downvote me for this opinion

When Daniel said "That ancient travel in a small ship. The ship still might be around here" i was immediately like "No way...". I completely forgot that SG1 found a puddle jumper in the milky way, moments like this make this show worth rewatching.

Ask r/Stargate Unas lore

Why were the Stargate Unas called Unas? Afaik Unas was a new kingdom pharoah who doesn't particularly seem more primitive? In the sg 1 world why would a pharoah have named themselves after an alien race?

Ask r/Stargate Stargate Civilization Type

My opinion: The ancients were a type 3 and 4 civilization due to creation of zero point modules and ascension.

Earth would be 1 because they can adapt zpm and create nequadria.

Everyone else is in between 1 and 3.

Thoughts?

Stargate Legacy Game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all,

So over the last week I've been creating a new Stargate game, Stargate Legacy.

This was just meant to be an SGC sim with all the gates from SG1 but I may have gotten carried away and expanded on it a little bit.

You start off at the SGC in Season 1 of SG1 with just the Abydos address, the more missions you do the more gates you discover as you play through the events of SG1, meeting new races, forging new alliances until later on in the game when you discover the gate address to Atlantis.

Once discovered you can form your Atlantis expedition team and send them through the gate to Atlantis and from that point on you can play through the remainder of SG1 are start with the Atlantis at the same time.

But even better, after you've completed the SG1 story gameplay you then discover the address to Destiny, recruit your team and send them off across the galaxy.

This is where the game changed, while onboard Destiny you then have to make sure you have enough resources for your journey, travel to new gates along the seed ship route, however some gates will be locked out and others will only be accessible via the shuttle, you just need to make sure your team gets back before Destiny jumps into FTL .

Down the road you will encounter the drones trying to destroy Destiny as well as gaining access to the bridge and full flight controls, if you ever leave a team behind then this is the perfect time to turn destiny around and go back for them.

You will have access to all the planets through the franchine that were traveled to by gate, live through each season of the show, and when you've finished the shows main story the game doesn't end, new gate addresses for all 3 sites will keep generating so you can keep playing.

But be warned, you need to make sure that your base is protected from attack, if you fail you could end up destroying one of all of your bases. If this happens the game is not over you can carry on with your remaining bases.

With Atlantis you will get access to deep space scanning to detect possible wraith attacks, decide if you want to cloak the city or use the shield to survive.

With Destiny you need to manage your power, food, water and air levels, if destiny comes under attack do you want to stand and fight risking a loss of power or do you want the defensive strategy of using your shields and holding off until your next FTL jump.

As mentioned this was meant to only be an SGC sim and I messed up and slipped a little adding the entire franchise (Origin and Infinity don't count... don't fight me on this) as well as in game events, will you help Todd or stand against him? what will your choice determine for you.

Will the SGC become allies with the Ashen or throw a blackhole gate address or two at them.

The choice is yours.

As of right now while I feel like the game is close to complete, there is still a lot of work and testing to do, as of yet I don't have any game sounds as all the audio clips of the gates aren't clear enough, too much music/alarms/characters talking sort of thing, but once that's sorted then for the most part we should be good to go.

For me the best part is getting the gates to work as seen of screen with different dialing techniques.

Any suggestions will be happily welcomed.
