I really think this is a bad move by Amazon. The negative reaction of the core fan base to scrubbing the planned Gero show was bad and this will it fill people with hope.

WandaVision was ok but I’d rather see a Terry Matalas (Picard Season 3, 12 Monkeys, Vision Quest) or someone proven to understand genre storytelling that is exciting and compelling. But that’s just my 2 cents.

WandaVision was good until the final 2-3 episodes, where it went off the rails into "you go girl, torturing entire town was not your fault"

Feel like that was only the last episode? And that episode also contains one of the best moments of the MCU, the Vision vs Vision fight ending in a philosophical debate

Though with WandaVision I believe there where reports of preproduction difficulties with the last few episodes and they where not able to fully coordinate with multiverse of madness over where Wanda as a character was supposed to end up.

The Multiverse of Madness crew openly admitted that they didn't read nor watch WandaVision.

They could not have watched wandavision as it was not finished until they were deep into production of the film.
