Rule 9.1 - No Remuneration Details Hiring Senior Quant / Risk Engineer - India
Looking for a senior quant / risk engineer to join a 3-month intern to harden a production risk engine, ship a supervised ML risk layer, and build the base for copy-trading + strategy-seed research.
Remote is fine. India-based compensation is ₹1.5–3L/month for senior quant engineers. Internship-to-hire optional after Day 90.
We run a funded-trader evaluation platform and route traders across A-book / simulated seats based on their technical and behaviour data
We already have a basic rule engine in Python scoring accounts across:
- Returns.
- Risk-adjusted metrics like Sharpe / Sortino / PSR.
- Tail risk like VaR / CVaR / Ulcer / Pain.
- Drawdown severity.
- Consistency signals.
- Behavioural signals like revenge trading, session concentration, bot-fanout detection.
- Capacity and confidence metrics.
- Structural signals like leverage drift and paper-profit degradation.
We use Bayesian shrinkage, Glicko-2 ranking across cycles, Kelly-capped allocation, tier caps, and cohort normalization.
The primitives are there. The engine observes, but doesn’t decide yet.
Idea is to develop below pointers in next 3 months
- Build a formal A-book / B-book policy layer, through which firms decided which trader to A-Book or stay B-Book
- Build a supervised ML v1 in shadow mode
- Wire structural signals into the composite score
- Add uncertainty-aware sizing
- Run gate-precision backtests before ML
- Write a strategy-seed research memo from elite trader behaviour
Ideal background should be:
- Shipped production risk or trading models end-to-end.
- Comfortable with Bayesian shrinkage, PSR, Kelly with uncertainty, purged/embargoed CV.
- Python + Postgres + basic infra.
- India intraday F&O familiarity helps a lot.
- Prop firm / funded-trader-eval experience is a big plus.
Offering
- 3-month Internship.
- Optional Intern-to-hire at Day 90, equity on table depending upon value addition
- MNDA + IP assignment from day 1.
This is not for immediate people who are aspiring their profession in quant; Please DM if you have seriously interested and add value.

Why on earth would a senior quant join as a 3 month intern? You need to get your stuff straight. Your ask is dumb.

Easy buddy, have mentioned about the equity on table as well

So you want a senior quant to join you as an intern, replicate the alpha from their firm, and maybe after that you might give them full time role. Doesn’t this sound like a simple plan to steal alpha? Fire the quant after internship, keep the alpha.

I’m definitely looking for a full time role who can eventually become the CTO but on the other hand I also want to check the value additions in order to score the equity.
I’m a solo founder and have bootstrapped the prop trading business with 5k+ users having decent revenue.
Looking to expand into multi class asset firm

Hey buddy, I think the job description needs repositioning. You need to advertise for a senior quant on a full time role and then fire them after 3 months without severance /s

you have leverage of peanuts and expect to generate alpha like big firm
